The Bible strongly condemns corruption in all its forms, whether political, economic or moral.
Here are some key passages that speak to it:

1. God hates corruption:

« Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent. »(Exodus 23:8)

« Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. »(Deuteronomy 16:19)

2. The corrupt will suffer divine justice:

« Your rulers are rebels, partners with thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow’s case does not come before them. »(Isaiah 1:23)

« Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire—they all conspire together. »(Micah 7:3)

3. Integrity is a divine requirement:

« The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. »(Proverbs 11:3)

« By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down. »(Proverbs 29:4)

4. Christians are to be honest and incorruptible:

« Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. »(Luke 16:10)

« Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. »(Ephesians 5:11)

The Bible therefore teaches that corruption is an injustice that destroys society and alienates men from God.
Believers are called to be models of integrity and justice.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the courage to avoid and condemn corruption in all its forms.

La Bible condamne fermement la corruption sous toutes ses formes, qu’elle soit politique, économique ou morale.
Voici quelques passages clés qui en parlent:

1. Dieu déteste la corruption:

« Tu ne recevras point de présent; car les présents aveuglent ceux qui ont les yeux ouverts et corrompent les paroles des justes. »(Exode 23:8)

« Tu ne porteras atteinte à aucun droit, tu n’auras point d’égard à l’apparence des personnes, et tu ne recevras point de présent; car les présents aveuglent les yeux des sages et corrompent les paroles des justes. »(Deutéronome 16:19)

2. Les corrompus subiront la justice divine:

« Tes chefs sont des rebelles et des associés de voleurs; tous aiment les présents et courent après les récompenses. Ils ne font pas droit à l’orphelin, et la cause de la veuve ne vient pas jusqu’à eux. »(Ésaïe 1:23)

« Leurs mains sont habiles à faire le mal: le prince a des exigences, le juge réclame un salaire, le grand exprime ses désirs, et ils font ainsi cause commune. »(Michée 7:3)

3. L’intégrité est une exigence divine:

« L’intégrité des hommes droits les dirige, mais les détours des perfides causent leur ruine. »(Proverbes 11:3)

« Un roi affermit le pays par la justice, mais celui qui reçoit des présents le ruine. »(Proverbes 29:4)

4. Les chrétiens doivent être honnêtes et incorruptibles:

« Celui qui est fidèle dans les moindres choses l’est aussi dans les grandes, et celui qui est injuste dans les moindres choses l’est aussi dans les grandes. »(Luc 16:10)

« Ne prenez point part aux œuvres infructueuses des ténèbres, mais plutôt condamnez-les. »(Éphésiens 5:11)

La Bible enseigne donc que la corruption est une injustice qui détruit la société et éloigne les hommes de Dieu.
Les croyants sont appelés à être des modèles d’intégrité et de justice.

Éternel notre Dieu, donnez-nous le courage d’éviter et de dénoncer la corruption sous toutes ses formes.

« Amaboko yabo akorana ikibi umwete, igikomangoma cyaka amaturo na we umucamanza agahongesha, n’umuntu ukomeye yerura irari ry’ibibi riri mu mutima we. Uko ni ko bahuriza imigambi yabo hamwe. »(Mika 7: 3)

3. Ugutungana nibyo Imana idusaba:

« Gutungana kw’abakiranutsi kuzabayobora,Ariko ubugoryi bw’abariganya buzabarimbura. »(Imigani 11:3)

« Umwami akomeresha igihugu imanza zitabera,Ariko uhongesha aragitsinda. »(Imigani 29: 4)

4. Abakristo bagomba kuba inyangamugayo kandi banga ruswa:

« Ukiranuka ku cyoroheje cyane, aba akiranutse no ku gikomeye. Kandi ukiranirwa ku cyoroheje cyane, aba akiraniwe no ku gikomeye. »(Luka 16:10)

« Ntimukifatanye n’imirimo y’ab’umwijima itagira umumaro, ahubwo muyihane. »(Abefeso 5:11)

« Amaboko yabo yamogoreye gukora ibibi; umuganwa ari n’ivyo yaka, umucamanza aca ingurire, uhambaye yenyaguza ivyifuzo bibi vyo mu mutima wiwe: uko ni ko babijishira hamwe. »(Mika 7:3)

3. Kuba intungane nivyo Imana idusaba:

« Ugutungana kw’abagororotsi kuzobarongora, Arik’ukudambikanya kw’ingunge kuzozihonnya. »(Imigani 11:3)

« Umwami akomeresha igihugu imanza ziroranye, Arik’ uhongerwa aracubika. »(Imigani 29: 4)

4. AbaKristo bakwiriye kuba abagororotsi kandi bakiyamiriza igiturire:

« Ukora ivyo yizigiweko ku coroshe cane, agira artyo no ku gikomeye: ugabitanya ku coroshe cane, agabitanya no ku gikomeye. »(Luka 16:10)

« Kandi ntimugafatanye n’ibikorwa birumvye vy’umwiza, ariko cane-cane mubiserure. » (Abefeso 5:11)
