The Bible says that « death and life are in the power of the tongue »(Proverbs 18.21).
However, it is the tongue that reveals what is in our heart.

A person with a harsh tongue, has an angry heart,
A person with a negative tongue, has a fearful heart,
A person with a overreactive tongue, has an unsettled heart,
A person with a boasting tongue, has an insecure heart,
A person with a filthy tongue, has an impure heart,
A person who is critical all the time, has a bitter heart.

On the other hand,
A person who is always encouraging, has a graceful heart,
A person who speaks gently, has a loving heart,
A person who speaks truthfully, has an honest heart.

What kind of heart do you have?

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us a good heart.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Cependant, c’est la langue qui révèle ce qui est au fond de notre cœur.

Une personne à la langue dure, a un cœur colérique,
Une personne avec une langue négative, a un cœur craintif,
Une personne avec un langue trop réactive, a une coeur instable,
Une personne avec une langue vantardise, a un cœur incertain,
Une personne avec une langue sale, a un cœur impur,
Une personne qui critique tout le temps a un cœur amer.

D’autre part,
Une personne qui encourage toujours les autres, a un cœur gracieux,
Une personne qui parle doucement, a un cœur aimant,
Une personne qui parle honnêtement a un cœur honnête.

Quel genre de cœur avez-vous ?

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous un bon cœur.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

Jerusalem was the political capital of Israel, where the great temple was located and the kings lived.
Because it was strong, believers who went up to pray there, were impressed by the quality of its construction and sang, saying:

« Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. »(Psalm 122:3)

Just as people looked at Jerusalem and were impressed by how strongly it was built, so people who observe a Christian can appreciate him when they see that his behavior testifies to his faith.
If we look at your behavior and your way of living your Christianity, can we really see that they are closely compacted together?
If your behavior and your way of living your Christianity are closely compacted together, you are a strong person, and this pleases those who observe you and produces good fruit for others.
But most of the time, our behavior is not a good testimony to our faith or Christianity.
As a result, we confuse or trip up many people who look at us.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, help us to always bear witness to our Christian faith through our behavior.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
