HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

Satan often attacks believers’ thoughts about their future with God.
He wants them to doubt God’s promises, to doubt whether they will really go to heaven after their death.

“Take the helmet of salvation…”(Ephesians 6:17)

The helmet of salvation is placed on our heads because much of the combat takes place at this level. It is at the level of the head that thoughts, fears, doubts are born, that reflections are formed, that decisions are made. It is therefore to the head that many blows are struck.
If we wear the helmet of salvation, we surely protect our thoughts of hope for the future.
The joyful expectation of eternal life in the Lord’s presence and the assurance of God’s promises about new heavens and a new earth, give hope and the power to endure.
Let’s allow God’s salvation to fill us with hope and endurance again.
Christians are like the Israelites during their desert journey: the circumstances are sometimes hard, it is not always easy to keep going, but they continue because they know their final destination is worth it and God sustains them on their journey.
The helmet of salvation can give us the right perspective on life.

L’ESPOIR POUR L’AVENIR

Satan attaque souvent nos pensées concernant notre avenir avec Dieu.
Il veut que nous doutions des promesses de Dieu, que nous doutions de savoir si nous irons réellement au ciel après notre mort.
Ces pensées peuvent être extrêmement décourageantes et nous priver de la joie et de l’assurance de notre foi.

«Prenez le casque du salut…»(Éphésiens 6:17)

Le casque du salut est posé sur notre tête parce qu’une grande partie du combat se passe à ce niveau. C’est au niveau de la tête que naissent les pensées, les peurs, les doutes, que se forgent les réflexions, que se prennent les décisions. C’est donc à la tête que de nombreux coups sont portés.
Si nous portons le casque du salut, nous protégeons sûrement nos pensées sur l’espérance pour l’avenir.
L’attente joyeuse de la vie éternelle dans la présence du Seigneur et l’assurance des promesses de Dieu concernant de nouveaux cieux et une nouvelle terre donnent l’espoir et la force d’endurer. Laissons le salut de Dieu nous remplir à nouveau d’espérance et d’endurance.
Les chrétiens sont comme les Israélites pendant leur voyage dans le désert: les circonstances sont parfois difficiles, il n’est pas toujours facile de continuer, mais ils continuent parce qu’ils savent que leur destination finale en vaut la peine et que Dieu les soutient dans leur voyage.
Le casque du salut peut donc nous donner la bonne perspective sur la vie.
