BEARER OF PEACE

You cannot give what you do not have. Whoever lives in inner peace, received from God, becomes an instrument of peace for others. But the one who lacks peace is a danger to society, carrying within himself the seeds of conflict and division.

Jesus said:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives” (John 14:27).
This peace is not fragile like the world’s promises; it is deep, stable, and eternal. It flows from His presence in our hearts.

The Bible also says: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
Thus, being a peacemaker is not optional—it is a mark of the children of God.

Eloquent Examples:

•In a family, a father full of anger spreads conflict in the household.
But a father filled with peace becomes a refuge and model of unity for his children.

•In a community, one bitter person can divide a church or a neighborhood.
But a heart at peace with Christ becomes the glue that holds people together.

*In society, a leader without inner peace may drive a nation into war. But a leader guided by God’s peace brings stability and prosperity.

Without God’s peace, man is like a restless sea that never rests (Isaiah 57:20).
But with Christ, the believer becomes a source of reconciliation and unity.

Let us therefore ask daily that the peace of Christ reign in our hearts so that we may be bearers of peace in our families, communities, and societies.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, fill my heart with Your true peace.
Deliver me from bitterness, fear, and inner turmoil.
Make me an instrument of reconciliation and unity.
Wherever I go, let Your peace be seen in my words, attitudes, and decisions.
It is in Jesus’ name, that I pray, Amen.
