“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)
The greatest revolution of the Christian faith is not that God is in heaven, nor even that He came to earth, but that He chose to dwell within us.
Many believers know that God exists, pray to God, and speak about God, but few truly live with the daily awareness that God lives in them.
Yet there is a vast difference between believing in God and living as someone in whom God dwells.
When this awareness is lacking, we seek God only in difficult moments.
We pray when everything is going wrong, but we move forward on our own when everything seems to be going well.
Yet God does not want to be an occasional help; He wants to be a permanent presence within us.
From Emmanuel—God with us—to the New Covenant, God’s plan has remained the same: to be close to humanity.
In Jesus Christ, God entered human history; through the Holy Spirit, He entered the heart of the believer.
Thus, the Christian faith is not an outward religion made only of rules and practices, but an inward life, animated by the real presence of God.
Living with the awareness that God is in me means understanding that I never walk alone.
My thoughts, my decisions, my battles, and even my silences are now lived with God within me.
This awareness profoundly transforms the way we live.
We no longer speak carelessly.
We no longer choose carelessly.
We no longer live carelessly.
Not out of fear, but out of love and respect for the One who dwells within us.
The presence of God in us becomes a source of strength in trials, light in confusion, and peace in uncertainty.
Even when everything seems silent, even when God appears absent, He remains within us.
God in me is not an idea; it is a living relationship. He speaks to us, guides us, corrects us, and comforts us. Living with God in me means speaking to Him constantly, entrusting every detail of my life to Him, and aligning my daily walk with His presence.
Spiritual maturity is not measured only by what we know about God, but by the way we live with God within us.
The one who lives with this awareness:
• never feels abandoned,
• never walks without direction,
• never lives without hope.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for this incomparable grace:
You are not only a God with me,
You are a God who lives in me.
Help me to live each day
with the awareness of Your presence within me, so that my thoughts, my words, and my actions may bring You glory.
Amen.
