BE STILL

There are moments when silence is more powerful than words.
In a world where everyone feels the need to answer, to defend themselves, or to justify their actions, the Spirit of God teaches us a higher wisdom: silence led by inner peace.

When Jesus was falsely accused before Pilate, He barely answered (Matthew 27:12-14). Not because He had nothing to say, but because He knew His mission didn’t depend on people’s opinions.
He knew who He was.
He knew where He was going.
He didn’t need to prove anything to those blinded by injustice.

Some criticisms don’t deserve your response.
Some attacks don’t deserve your energy.
Some provocations are just traps to steal your peace.
When you know who you are in Christ, you don’t have to answer everything.
You’re not obligated to explain yourself to people who have already decided not to understand.

Don’t confuse silence with weakness.
Silence can be the language of strength.
It proves that you are not led by your emotions, but by the Spirit of God.
Choosing not to respond can be an act of faith and complete trust in the One who defends the righteous without them needing to fight.

Today, remember: you don’t always have to answer. Let God speak for you.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”(Exodus 14:14)

GARDEZ LE SILENCE

Il est des moments où le silence est plus puissant que la parole.
Dans un monde où chacun se sent obligé de répondre, de se justifier, ou de se défendre à tout prix, l’Esprit de Dieu nous enseigne une sagesse supérieure: le silence guidé par la paix intérieure.

Quand Jésus fut accusé faussement devant Pilate, il ne répondit presque rien, il garda le silence (Matthieu 27:12-14). Ce n’est pas parce qu’il n’avait rien à dire, mais parce qu’il savait que sa mission ne dépendait pas de l’opinion des hommes.
Il savait qui Il était.
Il savait où Il allait.
Il n’avait donc pas besoin de prouver quoi que ce soit à ceux qui étaient aveuglés par leur injustice.

Il est des critiques qui ne méritent pas ta réponse.
Il est des attaques qui ne méritent pas ton énergie.
Il est des provocations qui cherchent simplement à te détourner de ta paix.
Quand tu sais qui tu es en Christ, tu n’as pas besoin de répondre à tout.
Tu n’es pas obligé de donner des explications à ceux qui ont déjà décidé de ne pas comprendre.

Ne confonds pas le silence avec la faiblesse.
Le silence, parfois, est le langage de la force.
C’est la preuve que tu n’es pas contrôlé par tes émotions, mais par l’Esprit de Dieu.
Choisir de ne pas répondre peut être un acte de foi et de confiance totale en Celui qui défend les justes sans qu’ils n’aient à se battre.

Aujourd’hui, souviens-toi: tu ne dois pas forcément répondre. Laisse Dieu parler pour toi.

« Le Seigneur combattra pour vous; et vous, gardez le silence. »(Exode 14:14)

IT’S NOT OVER…

The barbarians who saw the viper bite the apostle Paul on the hand were convinced he was a murderer condemned by God. In their minds, Justice would not allow him to live, even though he had just survived a shipwreck.
“They expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead; but after they had waited a long time and saw nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.”(Acts 28:6)

Indeed, God does not allow evil to destroy someone for whom He still has great plans.
If Paul had died then, his apostolic mission would have ended prematurely.

The same is true for those who hate or are jealous of us.
When they see us fall into dangerous situations, they think it’s over — that we won’t make it out.
They expect things to get worse, hoping we’ll be crushed completely.
But as long as God still has plans for our lives, no harm can truly overcome us — the poison of evil has no power over us.

This was also the case with Jesus Christ.
When He was arrested, beaten, humiliated, and crucified, many thought it was the end.
Even His own disciples were filled with despair, believing the story had ended at the tomb.
The religious leaders rejoiced, the Roman soldiers guarded His grave, and the mockers claimed that His death proved He wasn’t truly the Son of God.

But on the third day, God raised Him from the dead. Where men saw a tragic ending, God was preparing a glorious beginning — a mighty victory over death, sin, and hell.
What people thought was defeat was actually the path to eternal glory.

So, when your enemies think it’s over for you, God may be preparing your resurrection, your restoration, your breakthrough.

Never lose heart: it’s not over until God says so.

PRAYER:
Our Father in heaven, help us to remain under Your protection wherever we go.
Give us strength to keep our faith even in the midst of trials, remembering that our lives are in Your hands.
In the precious name of Your Son Jesus Christ we pray,

CE N’EST PAS FINI…

Les barbares qui ont vu la vipère mordre l’apôtre Paul à sa main, crurent qu’il était assurément un meurtrier condamné par Dieu, puisque, selon eux, la Justice n’a pas voulu le laisser vivre, après qu’il ait été sauvé de la mer.
«Ces gens s’attendaient à le voir enfler ou tomber mort subitement; mais, après avoir longtemps attendu, voyant qu’il ne lui arrivait aucun mal, ils changèrent d’avis et dirent que c’était un dieu.»(Actes 28:6)

En effet, Dieu n’autorise pas au mal de détruire une personne pour qui Il a encore de bons projets.
Paul mort, sa mission apostolique aurait été ainsi écourtée.

Il en est de même pour les gens qui nous détestent ou sont jaloux de nous. Lorsqu’ils nous voient tomber dans une situation dangereuse, ils croient que c’est fini, que nous ne pouvons pas nous en sortir.
Ainsi, ils s’attendent à ce que la situation s’empire et qu’elle nous détruise.
Et pourtant, tant que Dieu a encore de bons projets pour nous, il ne nous arrive aucun mal : le venin du mal qui nous frappe reste sans effet sur nous.

Ce fut également le cas de Jésus-Christ.
Lorsqu’il fut arrêté, battu, humilié et crucifié, beaucoup crurent que tout était fini pour lui. Même ses disciples étaient abattus, croyant que l’histoire se terminait dans la tombe.
Les chefs religieux se réjouissaient, les soldats romains gardaient son tombeau, et les moqueurs pensaient que sa fin prouvait qu’il n’était pas vraiment le Fils de Dieu.

Mais le troisième jour, Dieu l’a ressuscité d’entre les morts. Là où les hommes voyaient une fin, Dieu préparait un nouveau commencement, une victoire éclatante sur la mort, le péché et l’enfer. Ce que les hommes croyaient être une défaite était en réalité le chemin de la gloire éternelle.

Ainsi, lorsque les ennemis pensent que tout est fini pour toi, Dieu est souvent en train de préparer ta résurrection, ta réhabilitation, ta victoire.

Ne perds jamais courage: ce n’est pas fini tant que Dieu n’a pas dit son dernier mot.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, donnez-nous de rester sous votre protection en tous lieux.
Aidez-nous à garder la foi même dans les moments d’épreuves, en nous souvenant que Vous tenez notre vie entre vos mains.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre Fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

Abadebaguzi babonye inzoka ikomoye intumwa Pawulo ku kuboko, baciye bibaza ko ari umwicanyi yaciriwe urubanza n’Imana, kubera ko, nk’uko babivuze, Ubutungane butashaka kumureka ngo abeho, amaze gusimba urwo mu kiyaga.

SIN HURTS

“There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, nor any health in my bones because of my sin. For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.”(Psalm 38:3–4 NKJV)

Psalm 38 is the cry of a broken man, overwhelmed by the weight of his sin. It reveals a profound truth often neglected: sin doesn’t only kill spiritually—it also deeply wounds us psychologically, socially, politically, and morally.
Sin hurts.
It destroys man from within and spreads pain outward.
Whether one is a believer or not, no one escapes the consequences of sin.
This message explores the extent of the pain caused by sin across multiple dimensions of human life.

1. Theologically: Sin offends God and breaks fellowship

From a spiritual point of view, sin is rebellion against God’s holiness.
The born-again believer feels this offense deeply.
The Holy Spirit convicts him of sin (John 16:8).
David says, “Your arrows pierce me deeply” (v.2), showing that the pain is not merely natural—it comes from God Himself.
Sin disrupts communion with the Father and causes the soul to descend into guilt, sorrow, and sometimes shame.
The joy of salvation fades, and spiritual dryness takes over.

2. Psychologically: Sin disturbs inner peace

On an emotional and mental level, sin acts as poison. David confesses: “I am troubled, I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long” (v.6).
Unresolved guilt can lead to:
Anxiety and depression
Low self-worth
Insomnia and mood disorders
Self-destructive thoughts

Modern psychology agrees: unresolved moral failure or internal conflict often leads to emotional distress.
Even those who do not believe in God are created with a conscience (Romans 2:14–15), and that conscience speaks loudly when sin is present.

3. Sociologically: Sin breaks relationships

Sin is never harmless or private.
It damages human relationships. It isolates and divides. David lamented, “My loved ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague” (v.11).

In society:
Adultery shatters families
Lies destroy friendships and trust
Jealousy breeds violence
Selfishness creates injustice.

Even in churches, unrepented sin causes conflict, division, and tarnishes the witness of the body of Christ.

4. Politically: Sin corrupts institutions

At the national level, sin becomes collective and systemic.
Injustice, corruption, abuse of power, and favoritism are all institutional sins.
Scripture says:
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people”(Proverbs 14:34).

When rulers sin:
The people suffer
Laws become oppressive
Peace is disrupted
Institutions lose their moral credibility.

Human history is full of the suffering caused by the sins of political leaders—wars, genocide, exploitation, and economic collapse.

5. For the born-again believer: an unbearable inner pain

To the born-again believer, sin is not just a mistake—it is a spiritual trauma.
The Holy Spirit will not let the heart remain at peace. David cries, “Lord, all my desire is before You; and my sighing is not hidden from You” (v.9).

When the believer sins:
He loses peace
He loses assurance
He loses the joy of prayer and reading the Word
He feels distant from God, even when surrounded by others

A true believer cannot live in sin without being internally tormented, because the Spirit in him wars against the flesh (Galatians 5:17)

The only remedy is repentance

Psalm 38 does not end in despair but in a plea for God’s help:
“Do not forsake me, O Lord; O my God, be not far from me! Come quickly to help me, O Lord, my salvation!” (vv.21–22)

Sin hurts—the soul, the body, the relationships, the nation, and even the world.
But God offers healing to those who truly repent.
Jesus bore our pain and was pierced for our transgressions (Isaiah 53:5).
Today, whoever confesses and forsakes sin will receive mercy.
