WHEN IT GETS TOUGH

When the difficulties of life become more and more numerous to the point that we feel cornered, we are like the Hebrew people fleeing from the army of Pharaoh and stopped in their tracks before the Red Sea.

« I shall harden his heart and he will pursue you: and I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in all his army: and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. And they did so. »(Exodus 14:4)

God might not harden Pharaoh’s heart and instead urge him to let the Hebrew people go without difficulty, but the Egyptians would not have known that it was the Eternal who freed this people.
Indeed, our God can expressly harden the situation we are enduring, as he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, for the simple purpose of bringing out his glory, as he did on the Red Sea.
Surely the Lord wants to reveal his power either to those who got us into trouble, or to those who refused to help us, or to ourselves to strengthen our faith.

Whatever it is, let us trust in God and wait in faith for the outburst of his glory.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to keep our trust in You in difficult situations.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.

Apostle Jean-Claude SINDAYIGAYA

LET’S DO GOOD DEEDS

There was in Joppe, a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas who was full of good deeds and almsdeeds which she did.

And it came to pass in those days that she was sick and died.
It was then that her friends went to call Piter to come and see her.

Upon Peter’s arrival into the upper chamber where Tabitha’s body had been laid, « all the widows stood about him, weeping and shewing him the coats and garments which Dorcas made them. »(Acts 9:39)

And you, when you die, what will those who will come to pay you their last respects say?
Will they mourn you?
Will you leave a memory of good deeds or a memory of bad acts of wickedness?
Beloved, let’s always do good deeds as long as we live.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the courage to always do good deeds.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray. Amen.

Apostle Jean-Claude SINDAYIGAYA

Amen.

ARE YOU A BIBLE ?

The word of God exhorts us to be models of good works.

« In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness… »(Titus 2:7)

In fact, we don’t just need to take a Bible and roam the streets of the neighborhood to talk about Jesus.
No, our actions and the different services we serve to others can better be as a witness and a tool for evangelization.
Our deeds and service give the opportunity to others to see that it is Christ Himself who lives and works in us.
And that’s how our behaviors become somehow the only bible that pagans can read in their lifetime.
Are we then an authentic Bible? A Bible that makes others want to know more about God?

Let’s preach by our deeds.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to be models of good deeds.
It is in the precious name of your son that we pray. Amen.
