MEDITATION:
Some wonder if they have a true faith or a faith that is sufficient, looking at themselves, looking At their feelings and their love for the Lord. It is for them that the apostle adds: « for the Scripture says: « Whoever believes in Him will not be confused ».
Yes, beloved, anyone who recognizes in the divine light and puts his trust in Jesus can be assured of his salvation even if he is facing a natural ruin.
In the Face of Satan and all those who are waiting for our disgrace, God ensures that we can not be humiliated or be ashamed.

Lord our God, give us to trust You.

MÉDITATION:
Certains se demandent s’ils possèdent une vraie foi ou une foi suffisante, en se regardant eux-mêmes, En regardant leurs sentiments et leur amour pour le Seigneur. C’est pour eux que l’apôtre ajoute: « Car l’Écriture dit: «Quiconque croit en Lui ne sera pas confus ».
Oui, bien-aimés, quiconque reconnait, dans la lumière divine, sa ruine naturelle, et met sa confiance en Jésus, peut être assuré de son salut.
Face à Satan et à tous ceux qui attendent notre disgrâce, Dieu veille à ce que nous ne soyons pas humiliés ou confondus.

LET US CONSACRATE THE SEVENTH DAY TO WORSHIP AND REST IN GOD.

Exodus 20:9-10
« Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work,… »

MEDITATION:
After liberating the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt, God gave them this commandment:
« For six days you shall work, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of Yahweh, your God, that you shall do no work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your servant. neither your servant, nor your cattle, nor the stranger that is in your gates.  »
For the Israelites, this commandment contrasted strongly with their slavery under Pharaoh, as they had no respite in their daily work.
This commandment was then to set aside one day a week to remember several important things: the work of God during creation (Ge 2.2), their deliverance from slavery in Egypt (From 5.12-15), their relationship with God (6.4-6) and their need for personal refreshment (Ex 31.12-18).
This commandment also concerns us as a people of God!
We are called to consecrate this seventh day to worship and rest in God.
Thus, we must stop all work to refresh ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally, as well as to discern God in his creation in all beauty.
Life in God begins with rest in him.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, remind us every Sunday that this day is dedicated to You, to worship and rest in You.

CONSACRONS LE SEPTIÈME JOUR À L’ADORATION ET AU REPOS EN DIEU.

Exode 20:9-10
« Pendant six jours tu travailleras, et tu feras tout ton ouvrage. Mais le septième jour est un sabbat consacré à Yahweh, ton Dieu : tu ne feras aucun ouvrage,… »

MÉDITATION:
Après avoir libéré le peuple d’Israël de l’esclavage en Égypte, Dieu lui a donna ce commandement:
« Pendant six jours tu travailleras, et tu feras tout ton ouvrage. Mais le septième jour est un sabbat consacré à Yahweh, ton Dieu : tu ne feras aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ton bétail, ni l’étranger qui est dans tes portes. »
Pour les israélites, ce commandement contrastait fortement avec leur esclavage sous Pharaon, car ils n’avaient alors aucun répit dans leur travail quotidien.
Ce commandement visait alors à mettre de côté une journée par semaine pour se remémorer plusieurs choses importantes: l’œuvre de Dieu durant la création (Ge 2.2), leur délivrance de l’esclavage en Égypte (De 5.12-15), leur relation avec Dieu (6.4-6) et leur besoin d’un rafraîchissement personnel (Ex 31.12-18).
Ce commandement nous concerne aussi en tant que peuple de Dieu !
Nous sommes appelés à consacrer ce septième jour à l’adoration et au repos en Dieu: Ainsi, nous devons arrêter tout travail pour nous rafraîchir sur les plans physique, mental et émotionnel, ainsi que pour discerner Dieu dans sa création toute en beauté.
La vie en Dieu commence par le repos en lui.

Seigneur notre Dieu, rappelez-nous chaque dimanche que ce jour vous est consacré, pour Vous adorer et nous reposer en Vous.

IF WE DECLARE THE GOOD THAT WE WANT ON OUR LIFE, WE HAVE TO SEE IT AND LIVE IT.

Romans 4:17
(As it is written, « I have made thee a father of many nations ».)
Before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

MEDITATION:
The mystery of God is to call things that are not, as if they were.
The case of Abraham is more eloquent:
When God wanted to make Abram the father of many nations, He changed the way he called him: the name of Abram became Abraham, a name which means « father of a multitude of nations » (Genesis 17:5).
At this time, Abraham had not even had a single child from Sarah because she was barren.
Just imagine: From then on, every time he met people, He told them: « Hello, my name is father of many nations. » Certainly that the people thought of Abraham as a fool because he dared to be called « father of nations » while he had not even a single child.
But, as it is God himself who had said it, Abraham was « father of nations » in power.
Beloved, since we are created in the image of God, we can also call things which do not exist as though they did.
As christians, we can declare over our lives, the good that we want in the hope to see it and live it: May those who are sick, declare their healing, those who are poor declare their prosperity, those who are oppressed or in prison declare their liberation, those who are weak declare their power,…
Certainly, we will see and live what we have said on our lives.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to conquer fear and to declare any good on our lives.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.

WHEN GOD RAISES US, IT IS FOR HIS GLORY, NOT FOR OUR GLORY. LET US BE HUMBLE.

2 Chronicles 26:16
But when he became powerful, his heart rose to ruin…

MEDITATION:
Uzziah was crowned king at the age of 16.
For many years he followed God; on the way, God gave him tremendous success (2 Ch 26.4,5).
On the other hand, things changed when his fame spread far and wide, for he was marvelously supported until he became mighty, but when he was powerful, his heart rose to lose him. (v.15,16).
Uzziah dared to enter the temple of the Lord to burn perfumes on the altar (v. 16), thus openly opposing the divine decree.
It may be that pride has convinced him that the rules of God apply to everyone except him.
When Uzziah became angry with the priests who reprimanded him, the Lord smote him with leprosy (v. 18-20).
We must know that when God raises us, it is for his glory and not for our glory. We must follow the Lord and serve Him with a humble heart.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to always remember that you are raising us to see glory.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.

QUAND DIEU NOUS ÉLÈVE, C’EST POUR SA GLOIRE ET NON PAS POUR LA NOTRE.

2 Chroniques 26:16
Mais lorsqu’il fut devenu puissant, son coeur s’éleva jusqu’à la ruine…

MÉDITATION:
Ozias fut sacré roi à l’âge de 16 ans.
Pendant de nombreuses années, il a suivi Dieu; chemin faisant, Dieu lui a accordé un succès énorme (2 Ch 26.4,5).
En revanche, les choses ont changé lorsque « sa renommée s’étendit au loin, car il fut merveilleusement soutenu jusqu’à ce qu’il soit devenu puissant. Mais lorsqu’il fut puissant, son cœur s’éleva pour le perdre » (v. 15,16).
Ozias a osé entrer dans le temple du Seigneur pour brûler des parfums sur l’autel (v. 16), s’opposant ainsi ouvertement au décret divin .
Il se peut que l’orgueil l’ait convaincu que les règles de Dieu s’appliquaient à tout le monde, sauf à lui.
Quand Ozias s’est mis en colère contre les sacrificateurs qui le réprimandaient, le Seigneur l’a frappé de la lèpre (v. 18-20).
Nous devons savoir que quand Dieu qui nous élève, c’est pour sa gloire et non pas pour notre gloire.
Nous devons suivre le Seigneur et le servir d’un cœur humble.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous de nous rappeler toujours que vous nous élevez pour voir gloire.

WHEN WE COME BACK TO HIM, GOD ALWAYS WANTS TO SHOW US HIS LOVE, AND TO RESTORE TO US WHAT WE HAVE LOST WHEN WE WERE AWAY FROM HIM.

Luke 15:22–23
But the father said to his servants, « Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry. »

MEDITATION:
The return of the prodigal son, his father has not cursed, nor insult, nor scolded, nor cursed !
He welcomed him with happiness and joy. He said to his servants: « Bring the best robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet. Bring also the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us make a feast of rejoicing ».
For his father, it was a great opportunity to show him how much he loved him, and, because of this love, to give him what he had lost.
Like this father, our Father in heaven also desires to show us his love and, because of his love, to give us also what we have lost when we were away from Him and his ways.
In fact, some of our pathways are different from those of God can cause us the loss of our property, our employment, contract work, our good health, our good home, etc
If we decide to give up the evil ways, to return to God to follow his ways, God does not condemn us, He get there rather a good opportunity to restore what we have lost.
Even if, like the prodigal son, we may feel far from our heavenly Father, or if we feel we have disappointed, we have no reason to despair.
The truth is that, at the time when we come to him, God is pleased with our return to Him.
He immediately restores to us the robe of honor to clothe our nakedness, the ring of authority to declare our position of power and dominion, and the sandals on our feet (which servants do not wear) to reinstate us as a son in His house.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the strength and the courage to leave our evil ways to get back to You.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.

Luc 15:22-23
Mais le père dit à ses serviteurs: « Apportez la plus belle robe et l’en revêtez; mettez-lui un anneau au doigt et des souliers aux pieds. Amenez aussi le veau gras et tuez-le; faisons un festin de réjouissance ».

MÉDITATION:
Au retour du fils prodigue, son père ne l’a ni injurié, ni insulte, ni grondé, ni maudit !
Il l’a accueilli avec bonheur et joie. Il a dit à ses serviteurs: « Apportez la plus belle robe et l’en revêtez; mettez-lui un anneau au doigt et des souliers aux pieds. Amenez aussi le veau gras et tuez-le; faisons un festin de réjouissance ».
Pour son père, c’était une belle occasion de lui montrer à quel point il l’aimait et, à cause de cet amour, de lui rendre ce qu’il avait perdu.
Comme ce père, notre Père céleste désire aussi nous témoigner son amour et, à cause de son amour, nous rendre aussi ce que nous avons perdu au moment où nous nous étions éloignés de Lui et de ses voies.
En effet, certaines de nos voies différentes de celles de Dieu peuvent nous provoquer la perte de nos biens, de notre emploi, d’un contrat de travail, de notre bonne santé, de notre bon foyer, etc.
Si nous décidons d’abandonner les mauvaises voies, de revenir à Dieu pour suivre ses voies, Dieu ne nous condamne pas, Il y trouve plutôt une bonne occasion de nous rendre ce que nous avons perdu.
Même si, comme le fils prodigue, nous pouvons nous sentir loin de notre Père céleste, ou si nous avons l’impression de l’avoir déçu, nous n’avons pas raison de désespérer.
La vérité est que, au moment où nous venons à lui, Dieu se réjoui de notre retour à Lui.
Ainsi, Il nous rend immédiatement la robe d’honneur pour revêtir notre nudité, l’autorité qui permet de déclarer notre position de puissance et de domination et les sandales à nos pieds (que les serviteurs ne portent pas) pour nous réintégrer en tant que fils dans sa maison.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous la force et le courage de quitter nos mauvaises voies pour revenir à vous.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions.
Amen.

WHEN THE STORMS OF LIFE THREATEN US, LET US TURN FIRST TO JESUS.

Mark 4:39
He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, « Quiet ! Be still !  » Then the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

MEDITATION:
Entered afraid when the storm threatened their ship in the middle of the sea, the disciples had to wake Jesus who was sleeping.
Jesus was with them in the same boat.
We can imagine if Jesus was not in the boat with them, what was going to happen to them.
Of course, they would perish.
It is the same for our lives:
We go across the storms of life that we are afraid of.
If we do not have with us Jesus so that he could tell them to be silent, they carry us.
Fortunately, among those who have accepted him as their King and their saviour, he is always there during the storms of life, to say things like: « Silence, shut up ! » (v. 39.)
When the storms of life threaten us, let us turn first to Jesus, and let him fill us with the peace that comes from being with him.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, reminds us of resorting to your son when the storms of life threaten us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
