It’s easier for humans to say * »I love you »* or * »I love this person »*.
But, deep down, are we always right to say so?
The word of God says that * »love is patient… »* (1 Corinthians 13:4)
Human’s patience in this biblical sense expresses man’s capacity to endure, to tolerate, to empathize and to wait in suffering and contradiction.
If then you love someone, you must absolutely support and tolerate everything from him and for him.
His weaknesses, his handicap, his poverty, his behavior that you don’t like, his shortcomings, shameful reactions, as well as his various nonsense, can in no way encourage you to abandon him or to no longer love him, if you really love him.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to know and to be able to love sincerely.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
