Did you know that God created us, full of potential?
When the LORD God made an earth and the heavens, there was as yet no wild bush on the earth nor had any wild plant yet sprung up, for Yahweh God had not sent rain on the earth, nor was there any man to till the soil.
* »Instead, water flowed out of the ground and watered all the surface of the soil. »*(Genesis 2:5-6)
A vapor rose from the earth watering the entire surface!
By this, the Lord God points out that man’s life comes from himself: the source of his happiness, of his joy, of his peace, of his blessing, and of all that he needs for his flourishing, is in himself.
As the earth itself produced the dew which watered, made the plants sprout and raised them, God put in us love and intelligence which are like our dews. Intelligence and wisdom are sometimes confused in the Bible but associated with love, they are a source of perfect happiness for man.
We are therefore called through this verse to know how to exploit the vital, intellectual, spiritual potential, and in fact, all the potentials that God put in everyone.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to know how to exploit the potential that You have put in us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
