In this materialistic world where selfishness has made everyone for himself, the word of God urges us to be willing to give and to lend to others a part of what we have.
« Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. »(Matthew 5:42)
Indeed, everything we have has been given to us by our God to share with others out of love.
We must therefore always be willing to give or lend it to others, so easily and with a loving heart.
And it is precisely out of this love that we should demand neither interest nor guarantee from those who borrow anything from us:
« If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest. »(Exodus 22:25).
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to always be able to give and lend to others with a loving heart.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
