GOD IS NOT A CHRISTIAN

God is not a Christian, nor
even Jesus Christ.
Indeed, Christianity began in Antioch, under the teaching ministry of the apostle Paul.
Before Antioch, people who believed in Jesus were not called Christians, they were called believers.
« The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch. »(Acts 11:26)

What then is God’s religion?
Our God has no religion.
However, even though our God has no religion, He is LOVE.
It is out of LOVE that He created man.
And His story with man is a LOVE story.

Indeed, since man fell into sin, and thus distanced himself from God, God has never abandoned him.
Because of His LOVE for us, God pursued us into our sinful life to save us from the sin problem that we are unable to free ourselves from because “he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.”(Ephesians 1:5)

It is out of LOVE that our Almighty God in the flesh of Jesus Christ died in our place so that we might have life.

Although our God is not a Christian, Christianity comes from God because a true Christian is recognized by LOVE.
Jesus Christ tells us this well:
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”(John 13:35)

If then our way of life is not LOVE, our Christianity is meaningless, and we are not of God.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to be aware that you love us and to be able to love as you love us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
