GOD NEVER ABANDONES US IN THE TRIAL, HE TAKES CARE OF US.

Deuteronomy 8:4
Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

MEDITATION:
This verse allows us to understand the difference between trial and punishment.
We must know whether our desert is wanted by God or by ourselves, whether the suffering we endure comes from God or it is because of ourselves, if God allowed or wanted our failure for example, if is a trial or a punishment.
The suffering desired by God is called the trial, whereas when it allows suffering, it is the consequence of our own sins.
If the clothes of the children of Israel had not worn out, if the feet had not swelled it was because the desert was the will of God, it was a trial. Their strength increased during the march.
Indeed, God does not abandon us when it is Him who leads us in the trial, he makes sure to renew our strengths, our intelligence and our wisdom every day of the test and every time the trial takes place hardens.
This is how « our clothes do not wear out and our feet do not swell ». On the other hand, not only does our trial become a school where God teaches us to know him, to know men, to know ourselves, to be strong and to be courageous; but also, thanks to God, it (the trial) produces the joy, the success and the happiness aimed at or promised and above all increases the faith.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the strength to resist in the trials and the courage to bear the sufferings that we draw ourselves because of our sins.
It is in the precious name of Your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
