HAVING WEAPONS WITHOUT USING THEM

A Christian is a child of God, clothed with spiritual weapons to overcome the attacks of the enemy, sickness, and every form of suffering.
But when he is unaware of this truth, or fails to understand it, he becomes weak and ends up dying with the power and authority that God had already given him.
He is like a soldier holding a gun in his hands but never using it—while standing in the middle of a battlefield.

Yet Jesus said:
“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (Luke 10:19)
And He also said:
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12)

Therefore, a Christian is not called only to suffer, but also to fight spiritually.
When he fails to use his weapons, his spiritual life becomes weak, paralyzed, and sometimes ends in spiritual death.
But when he uses them by faith, he conquers.

That is why the Bible tells us:
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes…” (Ephesians 6:11–18)

And again it is written:
“These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:17–18)

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father,
I thank You for giving me spiritual power and weapons.
I have decided not to keep them unused but to apply them as You command.
Teach me to use Your Word as a sword, prayer as arrows, and faith as my shield.
Holy Spirit, strengthen and empower me in all things.
Do not let me forget the authority You have given me.
Help me to use Your strength every day, so that I may overcome sickness, trials, and the attacks of the enemy.
Do not allow me to be like a soldier who holds a weapon but never uses it.
Make me a courageous and victorious warrior, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
