The first commandment of God being to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, the second commandment is:
« Love your neighbor as yourself. »(Matthew 22:39)
In reality, nothing is difficult than to love all of God’s children without exception, as we love ourselves, because some are hard to love.
It is hard or almost impossible to love people who have hurt us and who continue to hurt us, or people who are unfaithful to us, brutal, violent, mean, and people who obviously hate us.
However, we are obliged to love them as they are because, in principle, loving others is a requirement and not an option.
Although it is hard to love some people, God obliges us to love them.
And we just have to decide to love them as they are and to forgive them if they have offended us. If today we decide to love those whom we do not love and to forgive those who have wronged us, the feelings of love towards all, without exception, will eventually follow.
« Abound in love to one another. »(1 Thessalonians 3:12)
God loves to see all his children love each other.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, give us strength and courage to love others, especially those we find hard to love.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
