When you see people praying a lot, prophesying, casting out demons and doing miracles supposedly « in the name of Jesus », don’t think so simply that they are men of God and that Jesus recognizes them!
Pay attention !
Many of these people are not recognized by Jesus.
Jesus himself speaks to us about them:
« Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' »(Matthew 7:21-23)
Why does Jesus say he doesn’t know them?
Indeed, he cannot know them since they do not operate in communion with him, do not work for the kingdom of God, and do not seek the glory of God.
First, some among them, although they claim to prophesy and work miracles in the name of Jesus, use satanic powers.
Second, others among them prophesy, drive out demons, and perform miracles for money or material goods and do so not for the glory of God and the kingdom of heaven, but for their own glory.
Also, because the name of Jesus Christ is powerful, even if they do not believe in him, they can perform miracles in the name of Jesus Christ, although he does not know them, because they do not have nothing to do with him.
In principle, Jesus only knows and will recognize those who operate in communion with him, in and for his kingdom.
So be careful, no longer trust all these people who do business in God’s work and who seek their own glory.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to no longer trust in all those who do not seek your glory in all that they do.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
