May the one whom God has exalted not be arrogant and proud, lest he provoke the wrath of God to humble him.
« The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. »(Proverbs 16:5)
Our God humbles and humiliates arrogant and proud people.
And may the one too whom God has humbled not forsake God and blaspheme, for if he humbles himself, God will surely exalt him.
The Bible tells us that « God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble. »(1 Peter 5:5)
Our God loves and elevates humble people.
Let us be humble, because, « For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. »(Luke 18:14)
