Already, as soon as we come into existence,
God calls us his WORKMANSHIP:
« For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. »(Ephesians 2:10)
From the moment we come into contact with his son, Jesus calls us his FRIENDS:
« I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. »(John 15:15)
From the moment we receive him into our lives and accept him as our Lord and Savior, Jesus now calls us CHILDREN OF GOD, that means, his brothers and sisters:
« You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. »(Galatians 3:26)
Subsequently, this Jesus that we received in our lives transforms us and calls us NEW CREATION:
« Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! »(2 Corinthians 5:17)
This is when the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us and Jesus begins to call our body TEMPLE:
« Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? »(1 Corinthians 6:19)
If we subsequently commit to spreading the word of God, Jesus calls us his WITNESSES:
« You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. »(Acts 1:8)
Do we consider these names in our life?
Let us sincerely be as Jesus calls us.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to always consider these names that Jesus calls us and to always seek to be such as Jesus calls us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
