LET’S NOT BE SLAVES

Nothing is more precious than living in freedom. If our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, it was so that all men would be and remain free not only with regard to the law, but also with regard to all evil and all sin.

« It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. »(Galatians 5:1)

Indeed, it is not enough to be only free with regard to the law by being aware of living in and under the grace of God, it is also necessary to be and remain free with regard to evil and sin.
This means that, as long as a Christian has not succeeded in abandoning certain habits which displease God and does not want to abandon certain sins to which he is attached, HE REMAINS A SLAVE.
« Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. »(Romans 6:12)

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, help us to stand firm in the freedom by which Christ has set us free.
