MY ADVOCATE

“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.”(1 John 2:1)

There is in the heart of man an instinctive fear of judgment.
Each time conscience recalls its faults, it trembles before the thought of a God who judges.
But the revelation of the Gospel changes everything:
Jesus Christ did not come to be my Judge, but to be my Advocate.
He does not stand against me, but for me.
He does not accuse me; He defends my cause before the Father.

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”(John 3:17)

While the accuser raises his voice to condemn me, Jesus rises to defend me.
He reminds the Father that my case was already settled on the cross.
There, He took my place, bore my sentence, and suffered my judgment,
so that I might be declared righteous.

“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.”(Romans 8:33–34)

Each time I stumble, He lifts me up.
Each time I feel unworthy, He reminds me of the value of His blood.
He does not push me away—He restores me.
He does not judge me by my failures, but by His grace.
His eyes are not filled with reproach but with restoring love.

Jesus cannot judge me today because He has already justified me.
He will not condemn me on the last day, because He already forgave me at the cross.
The judgment I deserved fell upon Him,
and the righteousness of God was fully accomplished in my favor.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”(Romans 8:1)

My Advocate has never lost a single case,
for His plea is His own sacrifice.
He does not present arguments—He presents His scars.
And those scars speak louder than every accusation of the enemy, saying:
“This one belongs to Me. I paid for him.”

So I can boldly declare:
If Jesus does not judge me, who can?
If the Son of God justifies me, who can condemn me?
I walk free—not by merit, but by grace.
I am covered—not by my righteousness, but by His.

Today, I rest in the peace of the One who defends my cause before God.
And on the day of judgment, He will stand—not to accuse me—but to present me before the Father,
washed and justified by the blood of the eternal covenant.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being my faithful Advocate and eternal Defender.
When the voices of condemnation rise against me, remind me that Your blood speaks for me.
Teach me to live each day in the awareness that I am already justified by You.
Let Your intercession be my peace, Your grace my strength,
and Your love my certainty. Amen.
