The word of God admonishes us to avoid offending people because we risk losing them.
* »A brother wronged is more unyielding than a fortified city; disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel. »*(Proverbs 18:19)
In fact, serious conflicts create barriers between friends.
These barriers are easy to erect but extremely difficult to break down.
Only prayer and forgiveness can break down these barriers.
We must therefore do all we can to avoid offending people: a loved one who has been offended may become * »more inaccessible than a fortified city. »*
PRAYER:
Lord our God, help us to avoid offending people and give us wisdom and courage to forgive and reconcile people.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
