If we know who Jesus is, we absolutely must want to welcome him into our home.
Martha was one of those who welcomed Jesus into their home.
« As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. »(Luke 10:38)
Indeed, meeting Jesus, wherever we meet him, is not enough, we must receive him at our home so that all the other members of our family also know him, listen to him and receive his blessings.
Mary, Martha’s sister, took the opportunity to listen to the words of Jesus.(Read Luke 10: 39-42)
And according to Jesus, it is important to listen to his word than just to welcome him only.
When we welcome Jesus into our home, we also welcome salvation into our family. Having entered the house of Zacchaeus, Jesus said to him: « Today salvation has come to this house. »(Luke 19:9)
Zacchaeus was saved and transformed by receiving Jesus into his life, but once he received Jesus into his house, everyone in his house was also saved.
Have you ever received Jesus into your house?
Do your family members who live in your house know Jesus?
If you are saved, bring Jesus into your home and family so that yours can be saved too.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to welcome Jesus into our homes and into our families.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
