As the entry into the promised land draws near, God makes a promise to the children of Israel:
« When you enter Canaan, the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance will have these boundaries. »(Numbers 34:2)
This promise is conditional:
1. First, to enter the land of Canaan:
The children of Israel absolutely had to overcome all the trials that came between them to arrive in Canaan.
2. Arrived in Canaan, it is necessary to dominate:
As Canaan was inhabited by other peoples, the children of Israel had to fight against them to dominate them.
3. You must stay within the defined boundaries:
The children of Israel were to respect and protect the boundaries of their land.
Each person has his Canaan, a good life that God has destined for him, because, our God says: « The plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future »(Jeremiah 29:11).
To get there, he must absolutely go through and overcome certain trials that stand in the way of his life.
Arrived in his Canaan, that is to say in his domain, he must impose himself in order to dominate, fight to stay there, and avoid going beyond the boundaries of his domain, because, outside this domain, there are no blessings, no assurances, no fulfilment.
PRAYER :
Our Father who art in heaven, help us to enter our Canaan and to know how to stay there.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
