Why did Jesus come into the world?
Jesus himself answers to this question:
« … I have come, not to judge the world, but to save the world. »(John 12:47)
Instead of judging men for their sins, Jesus saved them.
We too must do like him, save instead of judge.
Those whom we consider to be criminals or « sinners » rather need our forgiveness, our understanding, our compassion, our solidarity, our love and our guidance so that they can get out of their evil. This is how we can save them.
On the other hand, to criticize them, to boo them, to marginalize them or to condemn them, is to drive them into their evil.
So let us always be willing to save others instead of judging them.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to seek to save others instead of judging them.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
