Nothing is more important in our life than knowing and being aware that God wants good for us.
« Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. »(Psalms 143:10)
It often happens that God’s will is different from ours. But if we are aware that God loves us and wants our good in everything that happens to us or everything we go through, we so easily submit our freedom to the will of God.
And in the case where we do not want to submit to his will, God imposes conditions on us which push us to submit absolutely, for our good.
For example, we can want good weather or sunshine to go to our important meeting, but God, because he finds this meeting dangerous for us, can make it rain to protect us.
This is also why we should always say: « If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that. »(James 4:15)
PRAYER:
Lord our God, help us to always recognize your will and always submit to it.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
