WHEN I WAS A CHILD

Although the Bible values certain qualities in children, such as faith and humility (Matthew 18:3-4), innocence and purity (Matthew 19:14), it also encourages spiritual and intellectual maturation to avoid immature behaviors.

« When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. »(1 Corinthians 13:11)

What are these immature behaviors to avoid?
Here are some examples of these behaviors:
1.Emotional instability:
Children may react impulsively and emotionally, lacking control and stability in their responses (Read Ephesians 4:14).
2.Lack of discernment:
Children often lack the ability to discern right from wrong or understand the consequences of their actions (Hebrews 5:13-14).
3.Selfishness and self-centeredness:
Children tend to be self-centered, often seeking to satisfy their own desires without considering the needs of others (Philippians 2:3-4).
4.Ignorance and lack of wisdom:
Children lack knowledge and wisdom, and are often impressionable (Proverbs 4:7).
5.Spiritual instability:
Children can be easily led astray from their faith or spiritual commitment (1 Corinthians 14:20).

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us the power to avoid immature behavior.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
