After the Spirit of God came upon him, the prophet Balaam began to see Israel as God saw them.
As he looked down from a mountain at the camp of the Israelites in the desert, he found himself saying:
« How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel! Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens by the riverside, like aloes planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters. »(Numbers 24: 5-6)
Balaam would not have said this if he did not see Israel the way God saw it, for in reality, at that time the Israelites were a discontented lot, always murmuring and complaining in the wilderness.
But when God looked at them, he saw them as in flourishing gardens planted by rivers – fruitful and prosperous.
Since we accepted and welcomed Jesus as our king and savior, the Spirit of God immediately came upon us.
So, we should allow Him to help us see things as God sees them and to see ourselves as God sees us.
Because He loves us, when GOD looks at us, he looks at us well, he sees us as he would like us to be, he sees us well, good and in good health.
If we then see ourselves as God sees us, our lives will change because seeing ourselves as God sees us causes God to manifest His power in our lives!
PRAYER:
Lord our God, allow us to always see our situations the way you see them.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
