FROM DISAPPOINTMENT TO JOY

Have you ever had a disappointment?
This is the first stroke of the devil to make us ineffective. He wants to have us to make us his slaves and the easiest way to do that is to bring disappointment into our lives.
We must ensure that disappointment does not affect us.

« Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. »(Psalms 42:11)

Over time, prolonged disappointment leads to discouragement. With discouragement comes the loss of our confidence and enthusiasm.
When we become discouraged, we expose ourselves to attacks in all areas of our lives: our thoughts, your emotions, your health, our will, our family, our finances, and so on.
Satan likes that, out of disappointment and discouragement, we turn away from God and isolate ourselves to solve our own problems, because that’s when we become more vulnerable to his attacks.
Let’s be careful, don’t give him that chance.
On the other hand, to get out of it, *we must keep our faith and our confidence in God*, because, « hope does not disappoint us. »(Romans 5:5)
If we have hope for a certain situation, our disappointment does not have the power to hold us back. We believe that God will always make a way where there is no way and that his promises are true.
Our hope is in the Lord and not in our situation, here is a reason to join the psalmist and to praise our Savior and our God.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us never to let disappointments discourage us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
