FORGIVENESS AND LOVE ARE INSEPARABLE

The Word of God urges us to endure and forgive others, but we cannot if we do not have love.

« Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. »(Colossians 3:13)

Indeed, we cannot bear a person’s nonsense, shortcomings and offenses if we do not love him.
We also cannot forgive a person if we don’t love him.
It is love that gives us the strength to bear and forgive everything.
This is also why the apostle Paul says that if we do not have love we are nothing.(Read 1 Corinthians 13:1)

If then we can bear and forgive others, it is an unmistakable sign that we know God and that we belong to Him.
And if we cannot bear and forgive others, we have no reason to continue to claim to know God and to belong to Him, because God is love and (He) recognizes those who belong to Him by the love they have for others.(Read 1John 4:7-8)

PRAYER :
Our Father who art in heaven, give us the strength to love others so that we can endure and forgive them.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
