When we are in distress or in a miserable life, we can feel abandoned and forgotten by God.
But the reality is the opposite of what we think or feel.
« For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. »(Psalm 22:24)
Whatever our situations God hears our cries.
« During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. »(Hebrews 5:7)
It therefore means that the reverent submission to God breaks down all the walls and all the interference that could prevent God from hearing our cries.
If so, then why don’t we seek to be godly?
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to be pious.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
