No one is bound to the impossible, but God always works in the impossible and refuses to work in the possible.
The possible, God leaves it to us and He never asks us to do the impossible, because He knows that we cannot.
When the Lord Jesus came to the sepulcher of Lazarus, who had been dead for four days, he said to his disciples: « Take away the stone. »(John 11:39)
After his disciples had removed this stone which was placed in front of the tomb, Jesus cried out with a loud voice: « Lazarus, come out! »(John 11:43)
And the dead man came out, his feet and hands bound with bandages, and his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them: « Take off the grave clothes… »(John 11:44)
So why did Jesus tell his disciples to take away the stone and to take off Lazarus’s grave clothes while He could command the stone and the grave clothes to remove themselves?
It is quite simply because Jesus leaves what is possible to men to take care of the impossible.
He absolutely insists that we do all that we are able to do for ourselves and He takes care of all that we are unable to do.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to always do our best all that is possible for us and to let you do all that is impossible for us.
It is in the n precious name of Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
