Lying lips commit sins that the Bible lists among the most dangerous.
« He who conceals his hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool. »(Proverbs 10:18)
Lying lips sow discord, confusion and death in people’s hearts.
And oddly enough, this is common, even in circles that call themselves Christian.
This is terrible in the sight of God, and God says that anyone with lying lips is a fool.
You wouldn’t think of killing someone with a gun or a knife, but many times we murder people or try to pull them down by whispering innuendos, backbiting, slander, or defamation.
« The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful. »(Proverbs 12:22)
PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to never spread slander and prevent us from people with lying lips.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
