SNAKE AND DOVE

Knowing well the world in which we live, Jesus gives us a very important advice for life:
« Be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. »(Matthew 10:16)

We absolutely must desire to be kind, honest, generous, good and full of gentleness like the dove.
However, we must also be careful so that people do not take advantage of us, our simplicity, our gentleness, our kindness, our honesty, and so on.
We need intelligence.
Moreover, even Christ did not allow himself to be crucified out of weakness. He said: « my life, no one takes it from me, it’s me who gives it ». He does it voluntarily, with intelligence, knowing why he is doing it. Letting go is not necessarily a good testimony.
Jesus does not say: « If someone strikes you on the right cheek, LET YOURSELF be stroke on the right as well », but « TURN TO HIM the other also. » This is the active position of the Christian, and it certainly requires intelligence to avoid a certain possible perversion of gentleness and love.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the ability to be a serpent and a dove whenever necessary.

SOYONS SERPENT ET COLOMBE

Connaissant bien le monde dans lequel nous vivons, Jésus nous donne un conseil très important pour la vie:
« Soyez donc prudents comme les serpents, et simples comme les colombes. »(Matthieu 10:22)

Il faut absolument désirer être gentil, honnête, généreux, bon et plein de douceur comme la colombe.
Toutefois, nous devons aussi être prudents pour que les gens n’abusent pas de nous, de notre simplicité, notre douceur, notre gentillesse, notre honnêteté, etc.
Il faut de la pureté, de la foi, certes, mais aussi de l’intelligence.
D’ailleurs, même le Christ ne s’est pas laissé crucifier par faiblesse. Il a dit: « ma vie, personne ne me la prend, c’est moi qui la donne ». Il le fait volontairement, avec intelligence, sachant pourquoi il le fait. Se laisser faire n’est pas forcément un bon témoignage.
Jésus ne dit pas: « si on te frappe sur la joue gauche, LAISSES-TOI FRAPPER sur la droite en plus », mais « TENDS la joue droite ». C’est là la position active du Chrétien, et il faut certainement de l’intelligence pour éviter une certaine perversion possible de la douceur et de l’amour.

Éternel notre Dieu, donnez-nous de savoir être serpent et colombe chaque fois qu’il le faut.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

Tulina ddala okwagala okuba ab’ekisa, abeesimbu, abagabi, abalungi era abajjudde obukkakkamu ng’ejjiba.
Kyokka era tulina okwegendereza abantu baleme kutukozesa mukisa, obukwakkulizo bwaffe, obukkakkamu bwaffe, ekisa kyaffe, obwesimbu bwaffe, n’ebirala.
Twetaaga obulongoofu, okukkiriza, ddala, naye n’amagezi.
Ekirala, ne Kristo teyakkiriza kukomererwa olw’obunafu. Yagamba nti: « obulamu bwange, tewali abunzigyako, nze abuwa ». Akikola kyeyagalire, n’amagezi, ng’amanyi lwaki akikola. Okulekawo tekitegeeza nti bujulizi bulungi.

TUWE NYOKA NA NJIWA

Akijua vyema ulimwengu tunamoishi, Yesu anatupa ushauri muhimu sana kwa maisha:
« Iweni na busara kama nyoka, na kuwa watu wapole kama hua. »(Mathayo 10:16)

Ni lazima kabisa tutamani kuwa wema, waaminifu, wakarimu, wema na waliojaa upole kama hua.
Hata hivyo, tunapaswa pia kuwa waangalifu ili watu wasituchukulie faida, urahisi wetu, upole wetu, wema wetu, uaminifu wetu, na kadhalika.
Tunahitaji kuwa na akili.
Zaidi ya hayo, hata Kristo hakujiruhusu kusulubiwa kutokana na udhaifu. Akasema: « maisha yangu, hakuna anayeninyang’anya, ni mimi ndiye ninayeyatoa ». Anafanya kwa hiari, kwa akili, akijua kwa nini anafanya hivyo. Kuachilia si lazima kuwa ushuhuda mzuri.
Yesu hasemi: “Mtu akupigaye shavu la kuume, MUACHE apige na la pili”, bali “MGEUZIE NA LA PILI” Huu ndio msimamo wa utendaji wa Mkristo, na hakika inahitaji akili ili kuepuka upotovu fulani unaowezekana wa upole na upendo.

MAN AND GOD MET

No one has ever seen God, but man et God met.
Man and God met in Christ. « God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known. »(John 1:18)

Christ is therefore the meeting point of an imperfect man with a perfect God.
« All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ. »(2 Corinthians 5:18)

Since we receive Jesus in our life and believe in him as our Lord and Savior, God sees us via Christ, we can see God only via Christ.
So Christ gives us legality to relate with God, Christ gives us the basis to approach God without a sense of guilt, condamnation, inferiority complex, and sin consciousness.

Our prayers are in Christ and God cannot say « No » to our prayers, because we are in Christ.
That is why Jesus says:
« If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. »(John 15:7)

PRAYER:
Eternal our God, grant us to remain in Christ.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
