THE BROKENNESS

God is not always the author of our brokenness, but He can use it to bring Him glory.
Indeed, no matter what the devil throws at us to break us, God can turn it around.
How?

While he was eating the Passover with his disciples, « Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, « This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me. » »(Luke 22:19)

By breaking bread, Jesus was showing his disciples what was going to happen to his body.
It’s like he’s telling them, « I’m about to be broken and this is for you, because you can’t have eternal life unless I’m broken first on the cross for you. »
Indeed, there are some faces of God that we cannot see unless we are broken first, just as there are things that we can only obtain after surviving the brokenness: success, victory, joy, and so on.
But before any brokenness, as Jesus always began by blessing the bread, God also always begins by blessing us so that we can be able to manage, to survive, to transcend the pain or the trial of brokenness. And finally, our God appears in our life to heal us.
He is a God who « heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. »(Psalms 147:3)

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, give us the strength and the courage to bear and know how to manage our brokenness.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
