THE INEXHAUSTIBLE LOVE

A person going through times of hardship may think that God’s bounties are exhausted and his compassions failled.

And yet, it is false.
« Because of the LORD’S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. »(Lamentations 3:22-23)

In the desert, the children of Israel could worry about their tomorrows because the manna was sufficient for each day and there was nothing left for the next day.
Although they lived hand to mouth, their survival was assured by God, because of his compassion for them.
But we who are children of the new covenant established on the cross, we do not worry because we live and walk in the inexhaustible goodness and love coming from the blood of Jesus.
This is why Jesus tells us:
« Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. »(Matthew 6:34)
It is thanks to these kindnesses which were shown to us and which caused Jesus to be crucified and to die on the cross, that we live today, and that we will also live in heaven, because we have chosen to follow Jesus, the holder of inexhaustible love.

This inexhaustible goodness of God which has always been with us in the past and which manifests itself today in our life, will surely always be with us.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, give us to trust in your great love and goodness.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
