WHILE WAITING FOR ANSWER TO OUR PRAYERS

Our Lord Jesus told us:
« Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you… »(Matthew 7:7-8).
However, although our prayers often reflect impatience, we must be able to wait in faith for the answer to our prayers.

Here are six ways to actively wait to hear from God:

1. Don’t stop praying:
The word of God says:
« No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame… »(Psalms 25:3)
We must persevere in prayer until God answers us.

2. To examine ourselves:
We need to examine ourselves and confess any sin that might block God’s response. Thus we will be well aligned with God’s plans and purpose.

3. To avoid being distracted:
In order to not be diverted from the will of God, we must align ourselves with the word of God and focus our thoughts on « what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy.”(Philippians 4:8)

4. To be vigilant:
Attention and vigilance allow us to be able to notice, observe or recognize, in our environment, through circumstances, conversations and coincidences, the answer of God on the horizon.

5. To keep our trust in God:
We must absolutely continue to hope in God no matter what upsetting situations we may go through.

6. To continue in the way that God shows us:
We have no reason to fold our arms and stop progressing in the way that God approves. We must continue on our path, trusting that God will guide our steps as we go.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to know how to wait for you to answer our prayers.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
