A question that almost all believers ask themselves when thinking about heaven is whether we will recognize each other there.
”Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with Him. Peter answered and said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”(Matthew 17:3-4)
The fact that Peter and the other disciples immediately recognized Moses and Elijah is a sign that when we get to heaven, we will recognize everyone we meet there.
Amazingly, just as the disciples recognized Moses and Elijah, even though they had never known them, this shows that we will not only recognize acquaintances, but also people we have never seen before.
How wonderful it will be to see our loved ones, family and friends again.
Our relationships will then no longer be hampered by negative feelings or sins, but will be pure and clean.
Best of all, we will recognize Jesus.
The more we focus on Him here on earth, the more awesome it will be to see Him face to face. Without Him, heaven would not be heaven. He is the most important Person around Whom eternal life revolves.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us confidence to see again all our family members dead, in heaven.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
