At funerals, pastors and priests rarely dare to remind people that those who leave this world do not all go to heaven, that there are some who go to hell.

Nevertheless, people need to know that the Lord Jesus Christ clearly warned that it is very easy to end up in hell. He said:
* »Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and many take it. »*(Matthew 7:13)

To the great number of people who will choose to enter through the wide gate and who will die in their sins, Jesus will say to them:
* »Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. »*(Matthew 25:41)

Aux funérailles, les pasteurs et les prêtres osent rarement rappeler aux gens que ceux qui quittent ce monde ne vont pas tous au paradis, qu’il y en a qui vont aux enfers.

Néanmoins, les gens ont besoin de savoir que le Seigneur Jésus-Christ a clairement averti qu’il est très facile de finir en enfer. Il a dit:
* »Entrez par la porte étroite. Car large est la porte, spacieux est le chemin qui mènent à la perdition, et il y en a beaucoup qui entrent par là. »*(Matthieu 7:13)

Au grand nombre de personnes qui auront choisi d’entrer par la porte large et qui mourront dans leurs péchés, Jésus leur dira:
* »Allez-vous en loin de moi, Dieu vous maudit! Allez dans le feu éternel, qu’on a préparé pour le diable et ses anges. »*(Matthieu 25:41)
Voudrais-tu entendre cette parole?

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous de tout faire pour mériter d’entrer au paradis.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jesus-Christ que nous prions.

All good should be done for the glory and love of God and not for man to be praised.

* »Be careful not to parade your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. »*(Matthew 6:1)

Indeed, our Lord does not forbid us to do good (alms…) *in front of men*. No, He forbids us rather to do it * »to be seen by them »*.
And in reality, those who want « to be seen » or people to know the good they are doing to others, seek their praise and their glory and not the glory of God.
God will not reward them.

So be careful, don’t do any good deed to be seen, otherwise God will not reward you.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to do every good deed for your glory.

Tout bien devrait être fait pour la gloire et l’amour de Dieu et non pas pour que l’homme soit loué.

* »Gardez-vous de pratiquer votre justice devant les hommes, pour en être vus; autrement, vous n’aurez point de récompense auprès de votre Père qui est dans les cieux. »*(Matthieu 6:1)

En effet, notre Seigneur ne nous interdit pas de faire le bien (l’aumône…) *devant les hommes*. Non, Il nous interdit plutôt de le faire * »pour être vu d’eux »*.
Et en réalité, ceux qui veulent « être vus » ou que les gens sachent le bien qu’ils font aux autres, recherchent leurs louanges et leur gloire et non pas la gloire de Dieu.
Dieu ne les en récompensera pas.

Prenez donc garde à ne pas faire toute bonne action pour être vus, sinon Dieu ne vous récompensera pas.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous de faire toute bonne action pour votre gloire.
