David is strengthened by the memories of deliverance which God has wrought in the past, and which have been reported to him by the elders. Then, he invokes the God of Jacob asking for deliverance for the difficulties he encounters.
« I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever. »(Psalms 44:6-8)
Let us have, like David, enough humility to recognize that God has intervened several times and delivered us from many difficult situations. Do not believe that it is by our own strength, our bravery or our wisdom.
Let’s look back, remember past situations and ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten us, and show us the real facts that happened, we will recognize that it’s God who delivered us from all difficult situations we went through.
It is in this way that we can be strengthened to be able to bravely pass through later situations hitherto unpredictable.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, help us to recognize that it is You who deliver us from all difficult situations.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
