GIVE ME STRENGTH AND COURAGE

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

God has given us power and spiritual weapons to overcome evil (Ephesians 6:11).
But having the weapons is not enough — we need courage and strength to use them.
A well-armed soldier without courage is already defeated. Likewise, a believer who knows the Word but lacks inner strength cannot stand firm in trials.

Even Moses, full of God’s anointing, confessed his weakness:
“I cannot carry all these people by myself; the burden is too heavy for me.” (Numbers 11:14)
God gave him strength, and he told Joshua, “Be strong and courageous” (Deuteronomy 31:7). Even the strongest need courage from God.

David also faced fear and distress, but Scripture says:
“David found strength in the LORD his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6)

True courage does not come from the flesh but from communion with God.
When we are tired like Elijah in the wilderness, God does not condemn us; He strengthens us to go on (1 Kings 19:7). That’s why the prophet says:
“He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:29)

Our daily prayer should be:
“Lord, give me strength and courage.”

It is not a prayer of weakness, but of faith — for only God can turn fear into power and discouragement into victory.
