Dès que Jésus eut été baptisé, il sortit de l’eau. Et voici, les cieux s’ouvrirent, et il vit l’Esprit de Dieu descendre comme une colombe et venir sur lui.

Et voici, une voix fit entendre des cieux ces paroles: * »Celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé, en qui j’ai mis toute mon affection. »*(Matthieu 3:17)

C’était la voix de Dieu qui déclarait qu’il était fier de Jésus.
En effet, Jésus était juste et saint aux yeux de Dieu son père.
Et toi, te conduis-tu d’une manière qui plaise à Dieu ton Père?
Dès aujourd’hui, cherches à plaire à Dieu, à tel enseigne qu’il en arrive à dire de toi:
* »Voici mon enfant bien-aimé, en qui j’ai mis toute mon affection. »*

Seigneur notre Dieu, aidez-nous à nous conduire d’une manière qui Vous plaise.

God has given man the free choice to do what he wants but advises him to make a good choice, that of life.

* »Today, I call heaven and earth to witness against you: I am offering you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live. »*(Deuteronomy 30:19)

The choice of what we should do or give up, of what we should say or be silent, can bring us blessings and life, just as it can bring us curses and death.
Only the Holy Spirit can guide us and help us make the right choice.
And the right choice for our life is therefore to live with Jesus because he himself is life and to be guided by the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to always be guided by the Holy Spirit in our choices for life.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.

Dieu a donné à l’homme le libre choix de faire ce qu’il veut mais lui conseille de faire un bon choix, celui de la vie.

* »J’en prends aujourd’hui à témoin contre vous le ciel et la terre: j’ai mis devant toi la vie et la mort, la bénédiction et la malédiction. Choisis la vie, afin que tu vives, toi et ta postérité. »*(Deutéronome 30:19)

Le choix de ce que nous devons faire ou abandonner, de ce que nous devons dire out taire, peut nous attirer, les bénédictions et la vie, comme il peut nous attirer des malédictions et la mort.
Seul l’Esprit saint peut nous guider et nous aider à faire un bon choix.
Et le bon choix pour notre vie c’est donc celui de vivre avec Jésus parce qu’il est lui-même la vie et d’être guidés par l’Esprit saint.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous d’être toujours guidés par l’Esprit saint dans nos choix pour la vie.

When King David had become old, advanced in age, his son Adonijah took the opportunity to proclaim himself king of Israel.

* »Adonijah son of Haggith was growing pretentious and saying, ‘I shall be king! … »*(1 Kings 1:5)

However, it was Solomon, although much younger, who had been appointed by the Lord to succeed David (2 Samuel 12:25).
Adonijah will end up being humiliated because King David will order his son Solomon to be enthroned king of Israel.

We are therefore not right to say * »I SHALL BE »* because it is only God who designates who deserves what and who will be what.
It is pride that drives us to envy or want to be what we can only be or have by the grace of God.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, we pray that You would root out pride in our hearts.

Au moment où le roi David était devenu vieux, avancé en âge, son fils Adonija en profita pour s’autoproclamer roi d’Israël.

* »Adonija, fils de Haggith, se laissa emporter par l’orgueil jusqu’à dire: C’est moi qui serai roi! … »*(1 Rois 1:5)

Pourtant, c’est Salomon, quoique beaucoup plus jeune, qui avait été désigné par l’Éternel pour succéder à David (2 Samuel 12:25).
Adonija finira par être humilié parce que le roi David ordonnera que ça soit son fils Salomon qui soit intronisé roi d’Israël.

Nous n’avons donc pas raison de dire * »C’EST MOI »* parce que c’est seul Dieu qui désigne qui mérite quoi et qui sera quoi.
C’est l’orgueil qui nous poussent à envier ou vouloir être ce que nous ne pouvons être ou avoir seulement que par la grâce de Dieu.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, nous Vous prions d’extirper l’orgueil dans nos coeurs.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jesus-Christ que nous prions.

King David was now a very old man, and though wrapped in bedclothes he could not keep warm.
His servants then sought him a young virgin, who stood before him, cared for him, and lay in his bosom so that he might be warm.

* »The girl was very beautiful. She looked after the king and waited on him but the king did not have intercourse with her. »*(1 Kings 1:1-4)

Imagine, if you serve God all your life and you do whatever you think to Him that will please Him, and in the end, He denies you!
Is this possible?
Yes, as He does us good out of love, He also wants us to do everything for Him out of love.
He says:
* »I love those who love me… »*(Proverbs 8:17)
Unfortunately, there are many who serve Him without love, but out of routine, custom or speculation, in the form of business!
If you do that, God will will deny you.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to do everything for You out of love and for Your love.

Le roi David était vieux, avancé en âge; on le couvrait de vêtements, et il ne pouvait se réchauffer.
Ses serviteurs lui cherchèrent alors une jeune fille vierge, qui se tienne devant lui, le soigne et couche dans son sein afin qu’il se réchauffe.

* »Cette jeune fille était fort belle. Elle soigna le roi, et le servit; mais le roi ne la connut point. »*(1 Rois1:1-4)

Imaginez-vous, si vous servez Dieu toute votre vie et vous lui faites tout ce que vous pensez qui puisse Lui faire plaisir, et qu’en fin de compte, Il vous nie!
Cela est-ce possible?
Oui, comme Lui nous fait du bien par amour, Il veut que nous aussi nous Lui fassions tout par amour.
Il dit d’ailleurs:
« J’aime ceux qui m’aiment… »(Proverbes 8:17)
Or malheureusement, nombreux sont ceux qui le servent sans amour, mais par routine, par coutume ou par spéculation, sous forme de business!
Si vous le faites ainsi, Dieu vous niera.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donnez-nous de tout faire pour Vous par amour et pour Votre amour.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jesus-Christ que nous prions.

Addressing to Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews, Jesus said:
* »In all truth I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above. »*(John 3:3)

But what does it mean to be born again?
*It is to be born through water and the Spirit. »*(John 3:5)
This means that *being born through water* by baptism is not enough to merit seeing the kingdom of God. It is also absolutely necessary *to be born through the Spirit*, that is meaning to accept to be transformed by the Holy Spirit.
This transformation brought by the Holy Spirit causes man to change his life.
Therefore, a man is not justified in claiming to be born again as long as he has not yet changed his life, thoughts, behaviors and manners.

PRAYER:
Lord our God help us to change completely.

S’adressant à Nicodème, un chef des Juifs, Jésus a dit:
* »En vérité, en vérité, je te le dis, si un homme ne naît de nouveau, il ne peut voir le royaume de Dieu. »*(Jean 3:3)

Mais, que signifie naître de nouveau?
*C’est naître d’eau et d’Esprit. »*(Jean 3:5)
Cela signifie que *naître d’eau* par le baptême ne suffit pas pour mériter de voir le royaume de Dieu. Il faut absolument aussi *naître d’Esprit*, c’est-à-dire accepter d’être transformé par l’Esprit saint.
Cette transformation operée par l’Esprit saint fait que l’homme change de vie.
C’est pourquoi, l’homme n’a pas raison de prétendre être né de nouveau aussi longtemps qu’il n’a pas encore changé de vie, de pensées, de comportements et de manières.

Seigneur notre Dieu donnez-nous de changer tout entier .

The prophet Isaiah hears, in a vision, a voice which announces the nearness of salvation. This unknown voice obviously comes from the sky.
It says:

* »In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. »*(Isaiah 40:3)

The desert of which the prophet speaks here is not that of Syria that the Jews had to cross to return from Babylonia, because there are neither mountains nor precipices(verse 4) in this desert of Syria.
The desert of which he speaks is rather that of our hearts which often oppose the revelation and manifestation of God in our lives.
*To prepare the way in the desert of our hearts, it is thus to lower there these mountains of lack of faith and these hills of lack of confidence in God and to change the rough ground of persistent sins into plains of firmness*, to let God appear In our lifes.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, help us to open the way to You to let You manifest in our lives.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
