L’homme a trois ennemis terribles: la chair, le monde et le diable.
Le premier ennemi du chrétien, c’est sa chair !

La chair est ce qui caractérise les désirs humains dans le monde. Elle désigne la volonté de l’homme, les pensées adamiques corrompues.
Elle désire et absorbe toutes les choses contraires à la Parole de Dieu.
Elle est opposée à l’Esprit pour accomplir les plaisirs du monde: la jalousie, l’idolâtrie, la fornication, l’adultère, l’excès de table, l’impudicité, la haine, la débauche, les rivalités, querelles…
« La chair a des désirs contraires à ceux de l’Esprit, et l’Esprit en a de contraires à ceux de la chair; ils sont opposés entre eux, afin que vous ne fassiez point ce que vous voudriez. »(Galates 5:17)

Bien au-delà de tout, la chair qui est notre volonté est là pour nous empêcher de plaire à Dieu, de suivre Ses commandements et Ses lois.
« L’affection de la chair est inimitié contre Dieu, parce qu’elle ne se soumet pas à la loi de Dieu, et qu’elle ne le peut même pas. »(Romains 8:7)

Si nous voulons avoir une bonne conduite dans la vie et plaire à Dieu, nous devons absolument pouvoir maîtriser et dominer notre chair.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, donnez-nous de pouvoir maîtriser et dominer notre chair.

Not everything that starts well ends well, and everything that starts badly doesn’t always have to end badly. In the middle, between the beginning and the end, God can bring about a change according to his will and motivated by our conduct.

Although the book of Esther is named after her, it does not start with her name, it begins with Vashti as queen but ends with Esther, a Jewish woman who took Vashti’s place.
« Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. »(Esther 2:17)

Midway through the story in this book, Vashti is abandoned for despising King Ahasuerus, and Esther enters the king’s household to become a powerful queen.
If Vashti was abandoned, it’s because she behaved badly. We have no reason to expect to end our life well if we behave badly.
And if Esther, at the end of this story, has become a powerful queen, it is not only because she always behaved well towards the king, but it is also because she remained faithful to her God. This means that if we remain faithful to God and have a good conduct, we can hope to end our life well.

Our Father who art in heaven, help us to have a good conduct in life and to remain faithful to you.

Tout ce qui commence bien ne finit pas nécessairement bien, et tout ce qui commence mal ne doit pas toujours finir mal. Au milieu, entre le début et la fin, Dieu peut opérer un changement selon sa volonté et motivé par notre conduite.

Bien que le livre d’Esther porte son nom, il ne commence pas avec son nom, il commence avec Vasthi comme reine mais se termine avec Esther, une femme juive qui prit la place de Vasthi.
« Le roi aima Esther plus que toutes les autres femmes, et elle obtint grâce et faveur devant lui plus que toutes les autres jeunes filles. Il mit la couronne royale sur sa tête, et la fit reine à la place de Vasthi. »(Esther 2:17)

Au milieu de l’histoire de ce livre, Vasthi est abandonnée pour avoir méprisé le roi Assuérus, et Esther entre dans la maison du roi pour devenir une puissante reine.
Si Vasthi a été abandonnée, c’est parce qu’elle s’est mal conduite. Nous n’avons donc pas raison d’espérer finir bien notre vie si nous nous conduisons mal.
Et si Esther est, à la fin de cette histoire, est devenue une puissante reine, c’est parce que non seulement elle s’est toujours bien conduite à l’égard du roi, mais aussi, elle est restée fidèle à son Dieu. Cela veut dire que si nous aussi, restons fidèles à Dieu et avons une bonne conduite, nous pouvons espérer finir bien notre vie.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, aidez-nous à adopter une bonne conduite dans la vie et à vous rester fidèles.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

The book of Ecclesiastes tells us that « there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. »(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

It is true that there is a time for everything, for the good as for the bad, for the pleasant as for the unpleasant, for abundance as for scarcity, and so on, but it is the Eternal our God who organizes and arranges all these times according to his will.
It is therefore important to attach ourselves to God and to know how to go with Christ through all the situations and circumstances to which the times submit us rather than to complain or rejoice excessively.
Indeed, it is Christ who enables us to be humble and strong at all times.
In his epistle to the Philippians, the apostle Paul testifies it:
« I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. »(Philippians 4:12-13)
Those who don’t have Christ blaspheme Him and get carried away by evil in bad times, while they forsake God and get caught up in pride and arrogance in good times.
With Christ, we can go through all times well.

PRAYER :
Our Father who art in heaven, give us the wisdom to know how to live well in every time that we go through.

Le livre de l’Ecclésiaste nous dit qu’il y a « un temps pour tout, un temps pour toute chose sous les cieux. »(Ecclésiaste 3:1)

C’est vrai qu’il y a un temps pour tout, pour le bien comme pour le mal, pour l’agréable comme pour le désagréable, pour l’abondance comme pour la disette, etc. mais c’est l’Éternel notre Dieu qui organise et arrange tous ces temps selon sa volonté.
Il importe alors pour nous de nous attacher à Dieu et de savoir traverser avec Christ toutes les situations et circonstances auxquelles les temps nous soumettent plutôt que de nous plaindre ou nous en réjouir excessivement.
En effet, c’est Christ qui nous rend capable d’être humble et forts en tous les temps.
Dans son épître aux Philippiens, l’apôtre Paul le témoignage:
« Je sais vivre dans l’humiliation, et je sais vivre dans l’abondance. En tout et partout j’ai appris à être rassasié et à avoir faim, à être dans l’abondance et à être dans la disette. Je puis tout par celui qui me fortifie. »(Philippiens 4:12-13)
Ceux qui n’ont pas Christ le blasphèment et se laissent emporter par le mal pendant les mauvais temps, tandis qu’ils abandonnent Dieu et se laissent saisir par l’orgueil et l’arrogance pendant leurs beaux temps.
Avec Christ, nous pouvons bien traverser tous les temps.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, donnez-nous la sagesse de savoir bien vivre dans chaque temps que nous traversons.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

Witnessing by our life and our deeds that the living Christ is in us, is what God expects of us. He wants us to be a letter of Christ to the world.

Addressing the Corinthians, the apostle Paul wrote this:
« You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. »(2 Corinthians 3:3)

This message is not just for the Corinthians, it is for all who have accepted and received Christ as their Savior and King.
Indeed, after being transformed by the power of God through the Gospel, we ourselves become manifestly a kind of open letter from Christ that friends, neighbors, co-workers, and all men can read.
People can « read » our transformation and understand God, because, transformed by the word of God, we ourselves become the word of God.
People looking at us or observing us, are reading the Word of God, written, not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God.
It is this reading that bears witness and testifies that we really belong to Christ and that Christ is alive in us.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, help us to always bear witness by our lives that we are a letter from Christ.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Témoigner par notre vie et par nos actes que Christ vivant est en nous, c’est ce que Dieu attend de nous. Il veut que soyons une lettre de Christ au monde.

S’adressant aux Corinthiens, l’apôtre Paul a écrit ceci:
« Vous êtes manifestement une lettre de Christ, écrite, par notre ministère, non avec de l’encre, mais avec l’Esprit du Dieu vivant, non sur des tables de pierre, mais sur des tables de chair, sur les cœurs. »(2 Corinthiens 3:3)

Ce message ne concerne pas seulement les Corinthiens, il concerne tous ceux qui ont accepté et reçu Christ comme leur sauveur et leur Roi.
En effet, après avoir été transformés par la puissance de Dieu par l’Évangile, nous devenons nous-mêmes manifestement une sorte de lettre ouverte de Christ que les amis, les voisins, les collègues, et tous les hommes peuvent lire.
Les gens peuvent « lire » notre transformation et comprendre Dieu, parce que, transformés par la parole de Dieu, nous devenons nous-mêmes la parole de Dieu.
Les gens en nous regardant ou en nous observant, lisent la Parole de Dieu, écrite, non pas avec de l’encre, mais avec l’esprit du Dieu vivant.
C’est cette lecture qui rend témoignage et atteste que nous appartenons réellement à Christ et que Christ est vivant en nous.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, aidez-nous à toujours rendre témoignage par notre vie que nous sommes une lettre de Christ.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

In front of the cave where Lazarus had been buried, there was a huge stone. Jesus asked those who were with him to remove the stone that closed this cave.

« Take away the stone. »(John 11:39)

Sometimes stones of bitterness, disappointment, resentment and sin accumulate before our soul, standing before us as obstacles and barriers that prevent us from growing spiritually, from progressing well in life and that prevent Jesus to enter our lives to work miracles.
If we want the Word of Christ to reach what is dead in us, and work a miracle in our life, so that we find the path of life, peace and joy; let’s take away the stone.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, give us strength and courage to take away the stones that prevent us from enjoying your grace.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Devant la grotte où Lazare avait été enseveli, il y avait une énorme pierre. Jésus demanda à ceux qui étaient à ses côtés d’ôter la pierre qui fermait cette grotte.

« Ôtez la pierre. »(Jean 11:39)

Parfois des pierres d’amertume, de déception, de rancune et de péchés s’accumulent devant notre âme, se dressant devant nous comme des obstacles et des barrières qui nous empêchent de nous épanouir spirituellement, de bien évoluer dans la vie et qui empêchent Jésus de pénétrer dans nos vies pour y opérer des miracles.
Si nous voulons que la Parole de Christ puisse atteindre ce qui est mort en nous, et opère un miracle dans notre vie, afin que nous retrouvions le chemin de la vie, de la paix et de la joie; ôtons la pierre.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, donnez-nous la force et le courage d’ôter les pierres qui nous empêchent de jouir de votre grâce.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

The world has always had prophets, some true, some false, but lately our world has many false prophets!
Jesus warned us of this:
« Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. »(Matthew 24:11)

Jesus warns us by saying « Watch out for false prophets…Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. »(Matthew 7:15-20)
These are the fruits or signs by which you will recognize false prophets:
1. They spread heresies. (2 Peter 2:1)
2. They falsely predict the future:
« If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. »(Deuteronomy 18:20-22)
3. They love money:
« Freely you have received, freely give. » (Matthew 10:8)
4. They lie, flatter:
« They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD. »(Jeremiah 23:16), They « will exploit you with stories they have made up »*(2 Peter 2:3 ), « they are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. »(2 Peter 2:13)
5. They speak with arrogance, indecency and pride: « Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings »(2 Peter 2:10b) and « these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. »(2 Peter 2:12b)

Beware of them
