LET’S AVOID BAD PLACES

There are blessings we get when we are where God wants us to be and there are problems we encounter because we are in bad places.

Because David was in a bad place, he saw what he should not have seen, and that made him want to sin, and later it got him into trouble.
What happened to him?
« One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home.”(2 Samuel 11:2-4)

Why was the king walking on the roof of the palace?
On the roof of the palace, there is no place fit for a king, not even a place suitable for a king. That’s where the desire to sleep with someone else’s wife invaded him.
We too must know that there are places we should avoid because they are not suitable for us.
For example, places where crimes are often committed or where things are done that do not honor God.
Places like these are not our place, they are not suitable for us, we must avoid them so that we too do not fall into sin or taint our credibility.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, help us to avoid going and being in places that are not suitable for us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray in faith, Amen.
