Among the things that God hates and that make people lose their understanding, Hosea cites prostitution and the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

« …prostitution; old wine and new wine take away their understanding. »(Hosea 4:11)

In reality, the understanding and the life of anyone who allows himself to be drawn into prostitution and indulges in alcohol, are inevitably sidetracked by these evils.
And so, no longer able to think well and act well, he loses his consideration, his notoriety and his dignity in his family and in his community.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, give us the strength and courage to let go of everything you hate and that makes us lose our senses.

Parmi les choses que Dieu déteste et qui font perdre le sens chez les humains, Osée cite la prostitution et les boissons alcoolisés.

« La prostitution, le vin et le moût, font perdre le sens. »(Osée 4:11)

En réalité, l’intelligence et la vie de toute personne qui se laisse entraîner dans la prostitution et s’abandonne à l’alcool, sont inévitablement détournées par ces maux.
Et ainsi, n’étant plus à mesure de bien réfléchir et de bien agir, elle perd sa considération, sa notoriété et sa dignité dans sa famille et dans sa communauté.

Notre Père qui es aux cieux, donnez-nous la force et le courage d’abandonner tout ce que vous détestez et qui nous fait perdre le sens.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions.

The first to have believed in the resurrection is neither the guardian of the tomb where the body of Jesus rested, nor Mary of Magdala and Mary of Bethany who found the tomb empty, nor the disciples to whom he appeared. It’s ABRAHAM.
How ?

As he was going to the mountain that God had indicated to him to offer his son Isaac there as a burnt offering, he stopped halfway and said to his two servants who had accompanied him this:
« Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then WE WILL COME BACK TO YOU. »(Genesis 22:5)
He firmly hoped that after having offered his son in holocaust, God would resurrect him so that he would return with him to his servants.

Otherwise, he should have told his servants this:
« Stay here with the donkey; I and the young man will go… and I WILL COME BACK TO YOU… »

And for being the first to believe in the resurrection, we call him THE FATHER OF BELIEVERS.

Le premier à avoir cru en la résurrection n’est ni le gardien du tombeau où reposait le corps de Jésus, ni Marie de Magdala et Marie de Béthanie qui trouvèrent le tombeau vide, ni les disciples à qui il est apparu. C’est ABRAHAM.
Comment ?

Alors qu’il se rendait sur la colline que Dieu lui avait indiqué pour y offrir son fils Isaac en holocauste, il s’arrêta à mi chemin et dit à ses deux serviteurs qui l’avaient accompagné ceci:
« Restez ici avec l’âne; moi et le jeune homme, nous irons jusque-là pour adorer, et NOUS REVIENDRONS auprès de vous. »(Genèse 22:5)
Il espérait fermement qu’ après avoir offert son fils en holocauste, Dieu allait le ressusciter pour qu’il retourne avec lui auprès de ses serviteurs.

Dans le cas contraire, il aurait dû dire à ses serviteurs ceci:
« Restez ici avec l’âne; moi et le jeune homme, nous irons … et JE REVIENDRAI auprès de vous… »

Et pour avoir été le premier à croire en la résurrection, nous l’appelons LE PÈRE DES CROYANTS.

Notre Père qui es aux cieux, aidez-nous à être des modèles de la foi et de l’espérance pour les autres.

God put Abraham to the test.
He tells him:
« Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you. »(Genesis 22:2)

Never had God required a human burnt offering!
And nobody would have accepted it.
But Abraham accepted and went to the place that God had told him, carrying in his hand the fire and the knife, with his son Isaac who carried on his head the wood for the burnt offering.

Arrived at the place that God had told him, Abraham erected an altar there, and arranged the wood there.
As he bound his son Isaac, put him on the altar on top of the wood, and took the knife to slay his son (verses 9 and 10), an angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, and said to him:
« Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son. »(Genesis 22:12)

If he had not trusted in God, Abraham would not have blindly obeyed the word of God. This obedience pleases God.
If we also want to please God, let us blindly obey his word in all the situations and circumstances that he imposes on our lives.

Our Father who art in heaven, help us to blindly obey your word in all the situations and circumstances that you impose on our lives.

Dieu mit Abraham à l’épreuve.
Il lui dit:
« Prends ton fils, ton unique, celui que tu aimes, Isaac; va-t’en au pays de Morija, et là offre-le en holocauste sur l’une des montagnes que je te dirai. »(Genèse 22:2)

Jamais, Dieu n’avait exigé un holocoste humain!
Et personne ne l’aurait accepté*.
*Mais Abraham accepta et se rendit au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit, portant dans sa main le feu et le couteau, avec son fils Isaac qui portait sur sa tête le bois pour l’holocauste.

Arrivés au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit, Abraham y éleva un autel, et y rangea le bois.
Alors qu’il lia son fils Isaac, le mit sur l’autel par-dessus le bois et prit le couteau pour égorger son fils(versets 9 et 10), un ange de l’Éternel l’appela des cieux, et lui dit:
« N’avance pas ta main sur l’enfant, et ne lui fais rien; car je sais maintenant que tu crains Dieu, et que tu ne m’as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique. »(Genèse 22:12)

S’il n’eût eu confiance en Dieu, Abraham n’aurait pas obéi aveuglement à la parole de Dieu. Cette obéissance plaît à Dieu.
Si nous voulons nous aussi plaire à Dieu, obéissons aveuglement à sa parole en toutes les situations et circonstances qu’Il impose à notre vie.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, aidez-nous à obéir aveuglement à votre parole en toutes les situations et circonstances que vous imposez à notre vie.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

When things are bad with you and others are good, it means that Jesus sleeps in you.
Why is he sleeping?
Either you don’t give him any consideration in your life, or your faith is light.
If you believe in him and give him the consideration he deserves, you have to wake him up to act in your life.

This is what happened to the disciples of Jesus, when they were with him in a boat in the middle of the sea:
« A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, « Teacher, don’t you care if we drown? » He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, « Quiet! Be still! » Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. »(Mark 4:37-39)

If Jesus awakens in you, he will silence all your problems, all your illnesses, all your weaknesses and all that threatens or frightens you. And there will be a great calm in your life.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, wake up and silence everything that threatens and scares us in our life, Amen.

Lorsque les choses vont mal chez toi et que les autres sont bien, c’est-à-dire que Jésus dort en toi.
Pourquoi dort-il?
Soit tu ne lui donnes pas de la considération dans ta vie, soit ta foi est légère.
Si tu crois en lui et que tu lui donnes de la considération qu’il mérite, tu dois le réveiller pour qu’il agisse dans ta vie.

C’est ce qui arrivé aux disciples de Jésus, lorsqu’ils étaient avec lui dans une barque au milieu de la mer:
« Il s’éleva un grand tourbillon, et les flots se jetaient dans la barque, au point qu’elle se remplissait déjà. Et lui, il dormait à la poupe sur le coussin. Ils le réveillèrent, et lui dirent: Maître, ne t’inquiètes-tu pas de ce que nous périssons? S’étant réveillé, il menaça le vent, et dit à la mer: Silence! tais-toi! Et le vent cessa, et il y eut un grand calme. »(Marc 4:37-39)

Si Jésus se réveille en toi, il fera taire tous tes problèmes, toutes tes maladies, toutes tes faiblesses et tout ce qui te menace ou te fait peur. Et il y aura un grand calme dans ta vie.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur Jésus, réveilles-toi et fais taire tout ce qui nous menace et nous fait peur dans notre vie, Amen.

Sometimes when we go through times of hardship, people abandon us.
But when God helps us out and makes us well, we see them coming back!

This is what happened to Job:
« The LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. »(Job 42:10-11)

During his suffering, when he needed them, they did not come to console him!
While he was stripped of everything, They did not give him their pieces of silver and their golden rings!
That’s how people are. They abandon us in hard times and come back when we no longer need them.
But God Himself never abandons us.
If we remain faithful to Him and keep our trust in Him in times of hardship, He restores us in everything.

PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to keep our trust in You in our times of hardship.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Il arrive que lorsque nous traversons des moments de dures épreuves, les gens nous abandonnent.
Mais lorsque Dieu nous aide à nous en sortir et nous rétablit, nous les voyons revenir !

C’est ce qui est arrivé à Job:
« L’Éternel rétablit Job dans son premier état… Les frères, les soeurs, et les anciens amis de Job vinrent tous le visiter, et ils mangèrent avec lui dans sa maison. Ils le plaignirent et le consolèrent de tous les malheurs que l’Éternel avait fait venir sur lui et chacun lui donna un kesita et un anneau d’or. »(Job 42:10-11)

Pendant sa souffrance, au moment où il avait besoin d’eux, ils ne sont pas venus le consoler !
Pendant qu’il était dépouillé de tout, Ils ne lui ont pas donné leurs kesitas( forme de monnaie) et leurs anneaux d’or !
C’est comme ça que sont les gens. Ils nous abandonnent dans les moments durs et reviennent au moment où nous n’avons plus besoin d’eux.
Mais Dieu Lui ne nous abandonne jamais.
Si nous lui restons fidèles et gardons notre confiance en Lui dans les moments d’épreuves, Il nous rétablit en tout.

PRIÈRE:
Notre Père qui es aux cieux, donnez-nous de garder notre confiance en Vous dans nos moments de dures épreuves.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.
