To a generation of Israelites surrounded by the gods of their day, Joshua declared that they should choose their god, but without acting casually.
He set an example by saying:
« Choose today who you want to serve, or the gods your fathers served across the river, or the gods of the Amorites in the land where you live. I and my house will serve the Lord. »(Joshua 24:15)

Today, as in the time of Joshua, many options are available to us: witchcraft, corruption, cheating, dishonesty, prostitution, lying and betrayal are for example options that the devil gives us, offer to serve him and « live at ease » or enrich us.
God offers us simple, good and just options for serving Him: love, justice, forgiveness, respect for others, work, honesty, temperance, and so on.

There is, however, only one wise choice to make: the true God.
Joshua made the right choice: « I and my house will serve the Lord. »

No one but God can fill the void in our heart.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to serve only You all of our lives.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.

À une génération d’Israélites entourés des dieux de leur époque, Josué a déclaré qu’ils devaient choisir leur dieu, mais sans agir avec désinvolture.
Il a donné l’exemple en disant :
«Et si vous ne trouvez pas bon de servir l’Éternel, choisissez aujourd’hui qui vous voulez servir, ou les dieux que servaient vos pères au delà du fleuve, ou les dieux des Amoréens dans le pays desquels vous habitez. Moi et ma maison, nous servirons l’Éternel.»(Josué 24:15)

Aujourd’hui, comme au temps de Josué, de nombreuses options s’offrent à nous: la sorcellerie, la corruption, la tricherie, la malhonnêteté, la prostitution, le mensonge et la trahison sont par exemple des options que le diable nous donne, nous propose pour le servir et «vivre à l’aise» ou nous enrichir.
Dieu nous offre des options simples, bonnes et justes pour le servir: l’amour, la justice, le pardon, le respect des autres, le travail, l’honnêteté, la tempérance, etc.

Il n’y a cependant qu’un seul choix judicieux à faire: le vrai Dieu.
Josué a fait le bon choix: « Moi et ma maison, nous servirons l’Éternel. »

Personne d’autre que Dieu ne peut combler le vide de notre cœur.

PRIÈRE:
Seigneur notre Dieu, donne-nous de ne servir que Vous toute notre vie.

Uyu munsi, kimwe no mu gihe cya Yozuwe, dufite amahitamo menshi imbere yacu: Kujya mu bapfumu, kurya ruswa, uburiganya, ubuhemu, uburaya, kubeshya no guhemuka ni urugero rw’amahitamo satani aduha, atanga kugira tumukorere, « tubeho neza », cyangwa udutungishe.
Imana iduha amahitamo yoroshye, meza kandi akwiye kugira tuyikorere: urukundo, ubutabera, imbabazi, kubaha abandi, gukora, ubunyangamugayo, kwitonda, n’ibindi.

Ariko, hariho inzira imwe yonyine yo guhitamo: Imana y’ukuri.
Yozuwe yahisemo neza: « Jye n’inzu yanjye tuzakorera Uwiteka. »

Ntawundi usibye Imana ishobora kuziba icyuho mu mitima yacu.

It’s very normal to regret what you leave behind when you don’t know what awaits you where you’re going.
This is why Joseph tried to reassure his brothers whom he asked to go to Canaan to bring their parents to Egypt.

He told them:
« Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours. »(Genesis 45:20)

We therefore have no reason to regret what we leave behind on the path of life, because God has the best in store for us in the future.

C’est très normal de regretter ce qu’on laisse derrière soi lorsque l’on ne sait rien de ce qui nous attend là où l’on va.
C’est pourquoi, Joseph essayait de rassurer ses frères à qui il demandait d’aller à Canaan pour amener leur parents en Egypte.

Il leur a dit:
« N’ayez pas de regret pour ce que vous laisserez, car ce qu’il y a de meilleur dans toute l’Égypte sera à votre disposition. »(Genèse 45:20)

Nous n’avons donc pas raison de regretter ce que nous laissons derrière nous sur le chemin de la vie, car Dieu nous réserve le meilleur dans l’avenir.

Éternel notre Dieu donnez-nous de vous faire toujours confiance.

Jesus loves people, and they are loving Satan!
Jesus is calling people, and they are going to Satan!
Jesus is begging people, and they are begging Satan!
Jesus is saying « come to my holy church », and they are going to Satan’s houses for sins!
Jesus is saying « come to the light », and people are going to the darkness!
Jesus is saying come and praise me, and people go and swear and use foul language!
Jesus comes and says « let me hug you », instead people hug Satan and the world!

It is extremely painful and unbearable when you love the most and the one you love misunderstand you completely and totally.
This is unbearable!

We have chosen Jesus Christ because He gives(Romans 5:12-21):
1. Life instead of death (vs.12-14,17,18,21);
2. Grace instead of guilt (vs.12,15,17,19,20);
3. Justification instead of condemnation (vs.14-19);
4. Salvation instead of slavery (vs.20-21).

PRAYER:
Eternal God, grant us wisdom to always choose Jesus in everything we plan and do.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Jésus appelle les gens, et ils vont vers Satan!
Jésus supplie les gens, et ils supplient Satan!
Jésus dit «venez à ma sainte église», et ils vont dans les maisons de Satan pour leurs péchés!
Jésus dit «venez à la lumière», et les gens vont dans les ténèbres!
Jésus dit: «venez me louer», et les gens vont jurer et utiliser un langage grossier!
Jésus vient et dit «laissez-moi vous serrer dans mes bras», au lieu de cela, les gens embrassent Satan et le monde.

C’est extrêmement douloureux et insupportable lorsque vous aimez beaucoup et que celui que vous aimez ne vous comprend complètement et totalement pas.
C’est vraiment insupportable!

Nous, nous avons choisi Jésus-Christ parce qu’Il ​​donne (Romains 5:12-21):
1. La vie au lieu de la mort (v.12-14,17,18, 21);
2. La grâce au lieu de la culpabilité (v.12,15,17,19,20);
3. La justification au lieu de la condamnation (v.14-19);
4. Le salut au lieu de l’esclavage (v.20-21).

PRIÈRE:
