LOVE HAS DISAPPEARED !

Many of the bad behaviors we see in people may be the result of a lack of love in their lives.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-5, the Bible warns us that in the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, ungrateful, without natural affection, and lacking genuine love.

This shows us that the absence of love is one of the signs of the moral deterioration of human behavior.

Many people display cruelty, violence, resentment, jealousy, disrespect, selfishness, and other harmful behaviors because they never received enough love or because they carry emotional wounds caused by a lack of love.

1. Love helps a person develop good character.

The Bible teaches us that love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it does not behave shamefully, and it does not seek its own interests. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

This shows us that love helps us build healthy relationships with others. When love is absent, harmful behaviors can find room to grow in a person’s life.

2. A lack of love can cause people to hurt others.

«Let all bitterness and anger and indignation and outcry and blasphemy be taken away from you, along with all malice. And be kind and merciful to one another…» (Ephesians 4:31-32)

A person may have been deeply wounded emotionally, but that does not give them the right to wound others.
Instead, they should allow themselves to heal so that they do not become a source of pain in other people’s lives.

3. Love is evidence of knowing God.

«Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.» (1 John 4:8)

Knowing God is not demonstrated only through prayer, attending church, or talking about God. It is also demonstrated through the way we love others, respect them, and treat them with kindness.

A person who has never been loved can learn to love.
A wounded person can heal.
Even someone who is accustomed to hurting others can change if they allow God to transform them.

We must not add to the world’s existing wounds.
Instead, we should be people who bring love where there is hatred, peace where there is conflict, forgiveness where there is resentment, and kindness where there is cruelty.

LOVE SHOULD NEVER BE ABSENT FROM OUR LIVES!

Shalom.
