Called to replace his brother Moses in his task of leading an entire people, Joshua was overwhelmed by fears and doubts.
It was then that God said to him:
* »Have I not told you: Be strong and stand firm? Be fearless and undaunted, for go where you may, Yahweh your God is with you. »*(Joshua 1:9)
What is true for Joshua is also true for us.
Let not fear hold us back as we pursue our purpose or do what the Lord asks us to do. He is with us and He reassures us.
Although we may feel small or overwhelmed like Joshua, or although we may have fears and worries for ourselves, for our health, for our situation, that of our family or those close to us, let us remember that God loves us and that he promised to stay with us.
And with God, we will always overcome and succeed.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us to conquer fear and always stand firm.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
