In order to encourage King Zerubbabel by giving him the assurance that, despite his own weakness and that of the nation, the recently resumed work of the construction of the temple, as well as all that is connected with it in the future, will come to a good end, the Lord said through Zechariah these words:
« What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!' »(Zechariah 4:7)

And you, what is your big mountain, your problem that you cannot resolve?
Perhaps your big mountain is a chronic illness such as diabetes or AIDS that you have been diagnosed with, or even cancer!
Maybe your big mountain is poverty or a situation of injustice or persecution!
Maybe your big mountain is a feeling of being hated or unloved by people!
Whatever the size or heaviness of your mountain, remember that your God is the one of the impossible. Isn’t that enough to wipe away your worry?
Your mountain is nothing before God, it will be leveled.
As a child of God, speak to your problem and tell it:
What are you in front of a child of God like me? You will soon be destroyed.
Our God sets things right and every mountain in our life is God’s business. He will act through his Spirit to make every mountain level ground.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us confidence in your power.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Dans le but d’encourager le roi Zorobabel en lui donnant l’assurance que, malgré sa faiblesse propre et celle de la nation, le travail récemment repris de la construction du temple, ainsi que tout ce qui s’y rattache dans l’avenir, arrivera à bonne fin, l’Éternel dit par l’intermédiaire de Zacharie ces mots:
« Qui es-tu, grande montagne, devant Zorobabel? Tu seras aplanie. Il posera la pierre principale au milieu des acclamations: Grâce, grâce pour elle! »(Zacharie 4:7)

Et toi, qu’elle est ta grande montagne, ton problème que tu ne parviens pas à résoudre?
Peut-être que ta grande montagne est une maladie chronique telle que le diabète ou le sida qu’on t’a diagnostiqué, ou encore le cancer!
Peut-être que ta grande montagne est la pauvreté ou une situation d’injustice ou de persécution!
Peut-être que ta grande montagne est un sentiment d’être haï ou mal aimé par les gens!
Quelle que soit la grandeur ou lourdeur de ta montagne, rappelle-toi que ton Dieu est celui de l’impossible. Cela ne suffit-il pas à balayer ton inquiétude ?
Ta montagne n’est rien devant Dieu, elle sera aplanie.
En tant qu’enfant de Dieu, parles à ton problème et dit lui:
Qui es-tu devant un enfant de Dieu que je suis? Tu sera bientôt anéanti.
Notre Dieu remet les choses sur place et toute montagne dans notre vie est l’affaire de Dieu. Il agira par son esprit pour aplanir toute montagne.

PRIÈRE:
Éternel notre Dieu, donnez-nous de garder confiance en votre puissance.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

« Wa musozi munini we, wiyita iki? Imbere ya Zerubabeli uzaba ikibaya. Azazana n’ibuye risumba ayandi, barangurure bati ‘Nirihabwe umugisha! Nirihabwe umugisha!’ »(Zakariya 4:7)

Nawe, umusozi munini wawe n’uwuhe, ni ikihe kibazo udashobora gukemura?
Ahari umusozi wawe munini n’indwara « idakira » nka diyabete cyangwa sida wasuzumwe, cyangwa na kanseri!
Ahari umusozi wawe munini ni ubukene cyangwa ibihe by’akarengane cyangwa gutotezwa!
Ahari umusozi wawe munini ni ukumva wangwa cyangwa udakunzwe n’abantu!
Uko ingano cyangwa uburemere bw’umusozi wawe, byaba bimeze, ibuka ko Imana yawe ari n’iy’ibyitwa ko bidashoboka. Ese ibyo ntabwo bihagije kugirango impungenge zawe ziveho?
Umusozi wawe ntaco uri imbere y’Imana, uzaringanizwa.
Nk’umwana w’Imana, vugana n’ikibazo cyawe ukibwire uti:
Wiyita iki imbere y’umwana w’Imana nkanjye? Uzaba ikibaya.
Imana yacu ishyira ibintu mu murongo kandi umusozi wose mu buzima bwacu ni umurimo w’Imana. Izakora binyuze muri Mwuka wayo kugirango umusozi uhinduke ikibaya.

ISENGESHO:
Mwami Mana yacu, duhe kwizera imbaraga zawe.

« Wa musozi munini we, ur’ iki? Uzocikira ikiyaya imbere ya Zerubabeli; azozana ibuye ryo gusozera kwubaka, basesereza impundu, bat’ Ubuntu, ubuntu bube kuri ryo! »(Zekariya 4:7)

None wewe, umusozi munini wawe n’uwuhe, ni ikihe kibazo udashobora gukemura?
Kumbure umusozi wawe munini n’indwara « idakira » nka diyabete cyangwa sida wasuzumwe, canke na kanseri!
Kumbure umusozi wawe munini n’ubukene canke ibihe vy’akarenganyo canke gutotezwa!
Kumbure umusozi wawe munini ni ukwumva wankwa canke udakunzwe n’abantu!
Uko ingano canke uburemere bw’umusozi wawe, vyoba bimeze kwose, ibuka ko Imana yawe ari n’iy’ivyitwa ko bidashoboka. Ubwo ivyo ntibihagije kugira ngo impungenge zawe ziveho?
Umusozi wawe ntaco uri imbere y’Imana, uzoringanizwa usizwe.
Nk’umwana w’Imana, vugana n’ikibazo cawe ukibwire uti:
Ur’iki imbere y’umwana w’Imana nkanje? Uzocikira ikiyaya.
Imana yacu ishira ibintu mu murongo kandi umusozi wose mu buzima bgacu n’igikorwa c’Imana. Izokora biciye muri Mpwemu wayo kugira ngo umusozi uhinduke ikiyaya.

Faced with four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and four hundred prophets of Asherah, the prophet Elijah demonstrated the power of his God and that his God is also the true God in Israel.

At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed:
« O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again. »(1 Kings 18:36-37)

Just after this brief prayer, the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried:
« The LORD–he is God! The LORD–he is God! »(1 Kings 18:39)
Elijah prayed in faith and the power of God was manifested before the false prophets.
We too, in faith, let us ask God to do a miracle in our lives so that our enemies, our adversaries, our competitors, those who persecute us, those who threaten us and all those who challenge us may know and recognize today that our God is powerful, that He is with us, that He hears our prayers and that He loves us.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to be confident in your power.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Face à quatre cent cinq mille prophètes de Baal et à quatre cents prophètes d’Astarté, le prophète Elie démontra la puissance de son Dieu et que son Dieu est aussi le vrai Dieu en Israël.

Au moment de la présentation de l’offrande, Élie, le prophète, s’avança et dit:
« Éternel, Dieu d’Abraham, d’Isaac et d’Israël! que l’on sache aujourd’hui que tu es Dieu en Israël, que je suis ton serviteur, et que j’ai fait toutes ces choses par ta parole! Réponds-moi, Éternel, réponds-moi, afin que ce peuple reconnaisse que c’est toi, Éternel, qui es Dieu, et que c’est toi qui ramènes leur coeur! »(1 Rois 18:36-37)

Juste après cette brève prière, le feu de l’Éternel tomba, et il consuma l’holocauste, le bois, les pierres et la terre, et il absorba l’eau qui était dans le fossé.
Quand tout le peuple vit cela, ils tombèrent sur leur visage et dirent:
« C’est l’Éternel qui est Dieu! C’est l’Éternel qui est Dieu! »(1 Rois 18:39)
Elie a prié dans la foi et la puissance de Dieu s’est manifestée devant les faux prophètes.
Nous aussi, dans la foi, demandons à Dieu d’opérer un miracle dans nos vies pour que nos ennemis, nos adversaires, nos concurrents, ceux qui nous persécutent, ceux qui nous menacent et tous ceux qui nous défient sachent et reconnaissent aujourd’hui que notre Dieu est fort, qu’Il est avec nous, qu’Il entend nos prières et qu’il nous aime.

PRIÈRE:
Éternel notre Dieu, donnez-nous de faire confiance en votre puissance.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

Igihe umuhanuzi Eliya yari ahanganye n’abahanuzi ba Bāli uko ari amajana ane na mirongwitanu, hamwe n’abahanuzi ba Ashera uko ari amajana ane yarerekanye imbaraga z’Imana yiwe, n’uko ari nayo Mana y’ukuri muri Isiraheli.

Nuko agejeje igihe cyo gutamba igitambo cya nimugoroba, Eliya umuhanuzi yegera igicaniro aravuga ati:
« Uwiteka Mana ya Aburahamu na Isaka na Isirayeli, uyu munsi bimenyekane ko ari wowe Mana mu Bisirayeli kandi ko ndi umugaragu wawe, nkaba nkoze ibyo byose ku bw’ijambo ryawe. Nyumvira, Uwiteka nyumvira kugira ngo aba bantu bamenye ko ari wowe Mana, kandi ko ari wowe ugarura imitima yabo. »(1Abami 18:36-37)

Nyuma y’iri sengesho rigufi, uwo mwanya, umuriro w’Uwiteka uramanuka, utwika igitambo cyoswa n’inkwi n’amabuye n’umukungugu, ukamya amazi yari mu ruhavu yose.
Maze abantu bose babibonye bikubita hasi bubamye baravuga bati:
« Uwiteka ni we Mana, Uwiteka ni we Mana. »(1Abami 18:39)
Eliya yasenze mu kwizera noneho imbaraga z’Imana zirigaragaza imbere y’abahanuzi b’ibinyoma, zirabemeza pe.
Natwe, mu kwizera, reka dusabe Imana gukora igitangaza mu buzima bwacu kugirango abanzi bacu, abakeba bacu, abadutoteza, abadutera ubwoba ndetse n’abaturwanya bose bamenye kandi bemere uyu munsi ko Imana yacu ihambaye, ko irikumwe natwe, ko yumva amasengesho yacu, Kandi ko idukunda.

ISENGESHO:
Uwiteka Mana yacu, duhe kwiringira imbaraga n’ubushobozi byawe.
Ni mu izina ry’agaciro ry’umwana wawe Yesu kristo dusenze, Amen.

Igihe co gutanga ikimazi ca ni kera kigeze, uwo muvugishwa n’Imana Eliya yigira hafi, aravuga, ati:
« Ewe Uhoraho, Mana ya Aburahamu na Isaka na Isirayeli, uyu musi bimenyekane kw ari wewe Mana mu Bisirayeli, nanje ko nd’umusavyi wawe, kandi ko nkoze ibi vyose kubg’ ijambo ryawe. Unyumvire se, ewe Uhoraho, unyumvire kugira ngw aba bantu bamenye kw ari wewe Mana, ewe Uhoraho, kandi kw ari wewe ugarukana imitima yabo. »(1 Abami 18:36-37)

Nyuma y’iri sengesho rigufi, umuriro w’Uhoraho uca uratibuka, uturira ikimazi co kwoswa na za nkwi na ya mabuye n’umukungugu, urigata na ya mazi yari mu muvo.
Maz’ abantu bose babibonye, barunama bashika hasi, baravuga, bati:
« Uhoraho ni we Mana, Uhoraho ni we Mana! »(1Abami 18:39)
Eliya yasenze mu kwizera noneho inkomezi z’Imana zirigaragaza imbere ya ba kamenyi, baremera.
Natwe, mu kwizera, reka dusabe Imana gukora igitangaza mu buzima bgacu kugira abansi bacu, abakeba bacu, abadutoteza, abadutera ubgoba ndetse n’abaturwanya bose, bamenye kandi bemere uyu musi ko Imana yacu ihambaye, ko irikumwe natwe, ko yumva amasengesho yacu, Kandi ko idukunda.

Unless God gives blessing, the works of man cannot have a prosperous issue.

« Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. »(Psalms 127:1)

If the word of God is not the basis of our relationships, they do not last and if they last, they do not evolve positively.
And if the Lord does not watch over our friendships, our homes and even our projects, they will not last: a simple malicious word, a simple unconscious gesture perhaps misunderstood, a suspicion or a bad look can destroy everything.
Let us pray for our homes, our families, our friendships and our projects.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, watch over our relationships and our projects.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Sauf que Dieu donne la bénédiction, les œuvres de l’homme ne peuvent pas avoir une issue prospère.

« Si l’Éternel ne bâtit la maison, Ceux qui la bâtissent travaillent en vain; Si l’Éternel ne garde la ville, Celui qui la garde veille en vain. »(Psaumes 127:1)

Si la parole de Dieu n’est pas la base de nos relations, elles ne durent pas et si elles durent, elles n’évoluent pas positivement.
Et si le Seigneur ne veille pas sur nos amitiés, nos foyers et même nos projets, ils ne durent pas: une simple parole malveillante, un simple geste inconscient peut-être mal compris, une suspicion ou un mauvais regard peuvent tout détruire.
Nous devons prier pour nos foyers, nos familles, nos amitiés et nos projets.

PRIÈRE:
Éternel notre Dieu, veillez sur nos relations et nos projets.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.
