A comforting promise in Scripture is that God will never leave those who are His.
Hebrews 13:5 says, in part, « He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’ »
In a world that is constantly changing and where people are constantly leaving, whether in a family, relationship, or in death, God’s promise of never leaving is encouraging.
The one who helps you can die, but God does not die. He will look for a replacement.
Your helper can fail, but God will find someone else to use.
The one who helps you can move, but God will never move from you. He will bring you another person who continues to help you.
The one who helps you can rejects you, but God cannot reject you. He will bring in your life another person to love you and help you.
God will never forsake you.
You may stumble, fail, or fall into devastating sin, or even abandon Him, God will never abandon you.
PRAYER:
Eternal God, grant us to trust You and help us to be faithful.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
