We cannot fight and defeat Satan if we do not know his tactics.
Here are some key tactics employed by Satan:
1. Satan takes advantage of our moments of weakness to attack us:
Our times of hardship, difficulty or weakness are Satan’s favorable times to tempt us.
« After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him… »(Matthew 4:2-3)
2. Satan concentrates his attacks on his strongest opponents:
If Satan attacks you, you are precious before God. Imagine that he even dared to tempt Jesus! (Read Matthew 4:1)
He particularly targets men devoted to Christ to disqualify them before God.
3. Satan aims to torpedo the plan of salvation for God’s children:
Most times Satan attacks people for whom God has a good plan. If Satan attacks you, know that there is certainly a good plan of God for you that he wants to torpedo.
4. Satan pits us against our neighbors whom he uses:
After using our neighbors to harm us or lead us into sin, Satan turns against them and sets us against them. And yet, they are also its victims in the same way as we are.
« Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. »(Luke 23:34)
Knowing Satan’s strategies helps us overcome him.
PRAYER :
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to know and master all the tactics of Satan.
